You’re not the first one to draw the line between the spectrum and Amos’ psyche. It’s not a coincidence, as Wes Chatham, the actor who plays him is a fan of the novels and the character and he sought professional opinions on how a character like Amos would act given his past. His work on this show is tremendous.

When Errinwright angrily tossed the phone thing off his desk, the timing of Imon saying "Well now he can't call you back" was hilarious. Episode 5 is the end of book one. Episode 6 is essentially the premiere of book two.
