I like what you said about Fitz and Ted, that they're "Kindred spirits, but in different uniforms". I know it's strange to be able to relate to Ted in some ways, but that line about "The Red Light" really makes you think about things, and he's right about technology, "They buzz you jump, they beep you answer". The way we've been conditioned, the way we just go along, so obedient. That part about the mockingbird was a little sad, something so beautiful created by nature stuck singing a car alarm. What you said was interesting "The By-Stander Effect". I never knew there was a name for that until now. You asked if people were more heroic a 1000 years ago than they are today, I don't know, it depends on the person I guess. You stood up for your friend when no one else would, and it's like you said "If no one does anything, nothing will happen to help that person". It reminds me of the line from the movie Logan, "Someone will come along, Someone has come along". You did, you helped when no one else would, and that's what makes you different, good different, the best kind. <3
