I think that's a reference to Band of Brothers near the beginning where the title card comes up, it's a great show

This whole episode is a parody of Ken Burns documentaries. They even did the pledge drive at the end that always happens whenever they show anything Ken Burns made on public television. Keith David actually narrated at least one Ken Burns documentary so it's amazing they got him to narrate the parody here. Also Keith David played the cat in Coraline. I love the joke at the end where Jeff asks the narrator if he was in the NBC show "The Cape" and the narrator says "....No" Keith David was in the Cape, it lasted for 10 episodes and was then cancelled by NBC. This is one of the many jokes over the past 2 seasons that made fun of that awful show.
