In Peirce's mind: Troy and Abed pants each other and Shirley missed it, so I included her in it. And later on you knew that Shirley hates being left out and Peirce as well knows that so he included her in it, BUT it was inappropriate and they both know that everyone else does "young stuff" that they can never be apart of hence the inappropriate pantsing (only young people can do that).

Everything that Peirce does occasionally is pretty bad though. If you see closely is that everyone in that group does Peirce things, but people are more forgetful and forgiving and no one changes as well like Peirce. Like Shirley thinking Troy couldn't swim and very oblivious on any other religion. (Abed is amazing)

i dont have enough black friends to know for sure, but something tells me that its a lot harder for people of color to laugh at pierce. as a black american myself, i know ive always absolutely hated him and i found this episode and other episodes very poor reasoning of the other characters putting up with him. i find it really hard to believe any of them would be his friend or even tolerate him.

I am half black and half persian grew up in a predominately diverse community and all we would do was laugh at each other and enjoy each others differences. I think for me Pierce is hilarious. Like of course the things he says can be seen as offensive but I dont believe he is coming from a bad place of hate. he just wasn't taught those things. I am sure spending time with this crew will help him understand a few things and open up his mind a bit more. I am happy they haven't kicked him out just yet. I am happy they see him as human and call him out when he is wrong but also still love him.

Not gonna lie, every time I rewatch this episode I can't help but getting pissed off whenever those annoying kids are on screen doing their idiotic routine. Still, I was genuinely surprised by just how much more they triggered you guys, like, here I thought that maybe I was being unreasonably bothered by a bunch of obnoxious teenagers in a sitcom but you two seemed pretty much ready to throwdown and beat the sh!t out of them. Haha. xD Personally, I think I'd be content with a single backhand slap for each one of them. lol
