i was searching to see if there were any good summary articles posted between season 3 and 4 (so as to not have spoilers) and i found this interesting quote by the creator: I think Elliot starts off the whole series by having this really deep pain. He tries to externalize that and put it on the world, that the world is broken and needs to be fixed — not him. Then he goes through this journey of fixing what he presumes to be what’s wrong with the world. He sort of ends up realizing that what’s wrong has been inside him all along. He makes that discovery on the subway platform at the end of the finale, when he decides that he needs to undo this for him. He’s coming to that realization that this whole thing was kickstarted by him externalizing the pain he had been going through.

About Angela, a lot of what's going on with her at this point is similar to getting involved with a cult. It's more about your level of vulnerability then it is about how smart you are or your age.

Dom is one of those people so devoted to the system that she refuses to see its glaring flaws. You definitely see this type of mentality a lot in law enforcement. She believes in "law and order" with such conviction that she can't see past her own nose and realize that the system is allowing people like her boss to be corrupt and put innocents in harms way. She can't do it because it would break down her entire belief system, and adjusting to a world where the system is corrupt is more difficult for people like her than just admitting the system can't be trusted and everything needs to be critically examined.

Since you asked that many episodes ago and I always wanted to address that: How accurate is the "Hacking" in Mr Robot? I'm a Computer Scientist myself and can tell you that it is the most accurate way that CS was depicted in Hollywood. For the most part it is very realistic but sometimes not in the short time frames. Also sometimes they are running some code where you can't actually see what is done in detail but it'll still work at least theoretically and the concepts are realistic. Everything apart from that is pretty god dam real. Especially that "Hacking" has nothing to do with flashy interfaces and solving freaking visual riddles as done in every other show or movie. 99% of the work is done by working on a terminal and looking for exploits and weaknesses like a nerdy detective. But the black boxing they do in this show is spot on in order to get the accuracy without alienating the whole viewership. I think that this might interest some of your viewers and you would like to share that in a future Intro:) Greetings from Germany;)
