God, I'm excited and sad for you two, one episode away from the final season. It's going to be great seeing you react to it, but it's also bittersweet because I've loved seeing your Mr. Robot reactions. It's going to be sad once you're done with the show. Either way, I'm so glad you stuck with it.

So the deal about Elliot's father and White Rose is simpler than you're thinking. Elliot's father worked at E Corp on the initial project for White Rose's "Congo project," that project involving the nuclear reactor. That's how he developed cancer (along with Angela's mom), and that's how he died. Elliot's father wasn't trying to take down White Rose or anything like that. Elliot's father didn't even know who White Rose was. He was just an employee at E Corp working on a project. They were simply saying that Elliot's father died for us (which he did, technically, without his knowledge helping develop the initial stages of the project White Rose has been working on for decades), and now they're planning to kill Elliot for trying to stop this project from seeing its final form.

Minor note I meant to mention, last episode (8) has one of those shots that shows you Slater really actually shoved Rami off into sand 1ft down and the rocky terrain doesn't exist ;) (the railing is in the background to the left, good ol creative movie magic)
