And thus ends another excellent reaction series. I want to thank you both for taking me back through this. It helped me reflect on where I was years ago and where I am now. Crazy how much a cartoon can have such an impact on people's lives. =)

What a journey huh? You two have bared so much of yourselves over this show and it's been really inspirational to me, so thank you for that 👍.

There’s a theory that Bojack actually does die/is dead, and that this is almost like the previous episode in that in all happens in his head and it’s what he feels he needs to process before dying. The only speaking parts in the episode are by the main 5 characters, and they have a “wrap-up” feel to them. Also at the beginning when they show Bojack & Dianne on the roof as the heart monitor flatlines to me could potentially be saying “after this scene, that’s it, he dies”. Or he could be in a coma maybe? But then again it could be taken at face-value in that he actually is alive. The fact that the ending it open-ended but in a way that any of those theories make a satisfying conclusion to the show I think is just another example of the incredible writing in the show.

"Mr. Blue" is such a brilliant song choice for the finale. The lyrics contain everything Diane probably wanted to say to BoJack, but couldn't/didn' feel like saying at the moment they spent on the roof.

He lived. It's not open-ended. It has a "wrap up" feel because the series wrapped up and the writers gave everyone a goodbye. The heart monitor didn't flatline while they were on the roof, it started up again. People crawl up their own asses with bad theories sometimes.

Dune

Everytime I see this finale I think "damn what a good finale". I love how in the end everyone sees how bojack is really changing. They don't just see him as the fuck up anymore and that's just heartwarming. Especially the scene with todd. Todd disliked bojack it seems like for a good while but just that small gesture of asking him to come out to the beach with him because he knew he needed shows he's starting to or has forgiven him. Then you have the whole thing with diane. It's sad that that probably will be the last time they talk but she was right about people not having to be in your lives forever. When me and my ex broke up I was devastated because I knew if we ever did then our friendship would go to and I would never hear from her again but I was watching this show around that time some years back and it helped me A LOT. Made me realize that yeah even though I miss her and can't imagine my life without her in it, she helped me become a better person and for that I will always be grateful. All in all though bojack horseman is a wonderful top tier show that I could easily watch multiple times over and thank you abi and imon for being open during this whole series!
