So apparently the recap episode was suppose to be a Kuvira backstory, but due to budget cuts we never got that episode. That episode probably would've gave us more insight into her and made more sense of her actions.

You guys should check out “turf wars”and “ruins of the empire” they’re official canon comics that show what happened after the finale. It also includes Korra and Asami’s vacation

So about the new Avatar show/s, Netflix is making a live action version of the last airbender and the original creators stepped down from the series after having differences. And there will be new animated shows (and I THINK) a new movie that the creators will be apart of. That should be on the new paramount plus streaming service.

It has finally come to an end! I love the reactions so much, I'm glad you guys already ship Korra and Asami right away. You two should definitely read the comics "Turf Wars" and "Ruins of the Empire". Turf wars takes place right when Korra and Asami go into the portal. I would love to know what y'all think of it if you guys do read it, but thank you so much for the reactions to this show. This show means a lot to me, but not just the show Korra as well because her development and how much I can relate to her.

Its been a really great ride through Avatar and LOK with you both! I'm proud of the person Korra grew up to become throughout this show. Same goes for the rest of the main cast. At the time this episode came out LGBTQ representation was hidden away or otherwise non-existent in children shows. The creators deserve their props for going this route the best they could and breaking down boundaries with it. From there scenes together in S3 & 4 i think they'll compliment each other well and be a great couple! Ending things at Zhu' Li & Varrick's weddings was great and a beautiful moment for them.

to answer your worries, yes, the comics after korra do go more in depth in their relationship including when they fell for each other and how they proceed with their new relationship

When I first watched this episode I didn't really care for the implied relationship. It just seemed like it came out of nowhere and was a last minute thing. I honestly still don't but it could've been worse. Korra could've ended up with mako lol

Korrasami was what prompted me to break down and realise I was a gay woman back in 2014, and for that it will always mean so goddamn much to me. I know it's nowhere near as explicit as Aang and Katara was, and that was obviously a product of its time and studio, but even the implicit nature of it had me sobbing. And since then various "kids" shows have manged to run with what this show set down, and have far more outward LGBT representation. Wish we got more scenes with the two of them, but even the ones we got make them my favourite couple in fiction. A lot of people are recommending the comics, and whilst there are some amazing panels in there, the story telling is sadly nowhere near on par with what the show offers. All the same, seeing my girls being together never fails to make me tear up. Really really REALLY sad this series has ended, but it's been great going on my favourite journey once again with you both <3

There's some follow-up comics that actually shows Korra & Asami's time in the spirit world. It's so nice, I just wish all the comics could be new avatar shows one day!

You have to remember that at the time and for it to be a kids show, same sex relationships on networks that primarily caters to kids watching them were super scrutinized. I like the way they went with this because to anyone who actually payed attention throughout the show would know that it makes absolute perfect sense. As a proud gay individual myself, I was elated when the creators not only confirmed it on their platforms, but were very public and open about it. It has been an amazing journey watching this series with you girls, your discussions and insight on the episodes from ATLA all the way down to now Korra has been riveting. Going to miss it actually. I find myself crying everytime I watch along some of my favorite reactors. Did it with BlindWave, then the Normies and then YaBoyRoshi. Currently following ShreddersFTW reactions (hes on book 3 btw). Looking forward to picking up some other shows you guys are watching just because you two are always so bubbly and ya'll make me laugh, you can't put a price on joy ^_^ Until then, see you girls later <3 :D

It's funny. When dumb, younger me saw the end I was like "Kiss!" as a joke, only to find out some time later that them being a couple was meant to be an actual official thing. Then when I got my sis into the whole Avatar world last year and re-watched Legend of Korra, I started noticing all the little signs throughout season 4. Specifically Korra only really writing to Asami during the timeskip and this one moment during the season where Korra blushed, I think after Asami gave her some compliment. And shout out to the homie Eric for being ready to confirm that for them in real time.

it is funny how you two had almost the same arc as Korra did in regards to Asami. Her first appearence you wanted to shove her into a pond for dating mako and now you love her, just like Korra, though Korra is more in love with Asami

Korra and Asami were supposed to be more obvious but I think the creators said that Nickelodeon didn’t want a same sex couple in a “kid’s show”
