It's kinda ridiculous that people get mad at Korra for trying to be peaceful, but in season 1 people want her to he peaceful. Annoying double standard to be honest. It's like she never does anything right in the eyes of the audience. Edit: by now you should he able to tell it isn't about Korra and her powers. It's very simple. PTSD. Mental trauma doesn't just go away, and can't be blamed on anyone but the cause of the trauma, if any.

You know what's worse then dealing with someone 'evil' you despise? When they actually treat you fairly and still get their way anyway. Kuvira told Korra she wouldn't attack until she returned to talk to her and didn't. She agreed and held by the terms of their peace agreement and Su was the one who broke it and tried to kidnap / assassinate her. She fought 1 v 1 with Korra until Jinora and Opal interfered. If it was the opposite way around we would read Kuvira for filth as a coward and liar because she's the antagonist. I feel Su gets a lot of passes in this show for things others wouldn't; without hurting their reputation or character; which is funny enough a part of Lin's issue with her last season.

agree with the PTSD statement but this whole "oh NOW yall want her to be violent?? smh" doesnt make much sense to me. ofc viewers know the difference between not being able to argue without breaking stuff or threatening people vs becoming violent to beat up someone who almost all of your peers thinks is a dictator. people dont think korra should always be one way vs the other. did you ever watch Community? this reminds me of the episode someone told their friends "i didnt tell you your new guy friend is a war criminal bc you always complain i ruin your new friends for you". and the reply/joke is "yeah, bc usually you say stuff like 'he eats his boogers' or something dumb that puts us off. ofc we want you to tell us if any of our new friends is a *freaking war criminal*". no one is going to say in s1-s3 "korra needs to be more peaceful!! except if she sees some dictator taking over towns"

I never realized that the metal from the domes is what's used later in the season. Like, it's really subtle but she says that line at the end of the episode and it just now clicked for me that that meant something.
