Got it. So they only really care to understand and empathize with the villains if the villains are men.

Alright hold up. Rewatching this with them is fun for me because I get to see why other people love it as much as I do, but it has also shown how some of my opinions are biased based on who I am. This season in particular has been interesting because the female villain is probably more relatable or understandable for these two girls than the other dominating men from previous seasons. When you can see yourself in the position of another, it because much easier to say what they're doing right or wrong because it's something they have or could actually experience. I don't think it's a sexist thing; more so an honest example of different backgrounds and realities.

@Derrick You make a great point when mentioning "our" flaws as humans to automatically go for the kill when we see villains trying to exercise their radical ideas on the world. very interesting because it definitely does defeat the purpose of being different from them. On Abi and Imon's reaction to Kuvira, idk bro... i do not think it has anything to do with her being a woman. to be fair Kuvira seems more dominate and masculine than any villain we seen so far.

Oh wow! I just finished all your LoK streams in time to see this one go up. It's just a show. It's just a game. I so agree. So many people have made these things into their identity, that anything short of utmost praise is considered a offense. If more people said the things they type out loud to themselves before hitting post on a comment section, they might actually notice how ridiculous they sound. You also have those that have made hatred for certain shows and games into their identity, but that's a whole other mess. You can't say anything positive about anything without some person showing up pissing on you for daring to like something they don't like.

Yanpo

As for the reasons the other nations aren't getting directly involved: that is because that's how non-imperialistic nations generally behave. Most nations don't get involved in the internal matters of other nations. Kuvira, for example, would be all about intervening in other nations internal issues. Especially if she believes she can gain something out of intervention.

Yea I don't like Kuvira at all. Luv her as a villain but she's less fun to enjoy than the previous 3 main baddies. Their motivations broken down makes sense &they went too far. Kuvira prolly started off with pure intentions but as soon as she had fools bow down to her &declared herself Empress, thats where she lost her way. Plain n simple. Great reaction as always ladies🤘🏿

Ppl needs to chill complaining bout them potentially forgetting things. Its a long deep show, lil details are bound to be forgotten yo. As they said they're watchin ton of series with multiple plots. Its not a big deal

Dune

I loved the vinegar in this reaction lol. I think we all felt that way about her this season. Like you're enslaving people and threatening to kill people who don't do what you say and you think that's the best way to go about things? You can rule with an iron fist and not be a dictator.

I think it gets lost in the Convo that The Earth Kingdom is a country and places like Zaofu are cities and states. Kuvira trying to get them to re-join is like asking California to re-join the U.S. if it ever fell apart. Don't think we'd take them refusing well either. Unfortunately they're turning a corner with Kuvira's character with the re-education camps and threats. Makes her more of a villain then someone doing the right thing but not the right way. I find it funny Korra gets killed by her critics for being aggressive but now that she's calmed down and learned humility the writers put her in a position where most people want 'The old Korra' to come out and wreck Kuvira. Not to sound like one of those aggressive people you mentioned in the intro but even you guys in the past have compared her to Aang and wished she was more diplomatic and peaceful... well now she is and for good reason. Last she seen Kuvira she was grateful to her. She thought Zaheer murdered her father. Nice pseudo intellectual talk wasn't smoothing it over but in the end Kuvira saved his life.

Imon and Abi's guide for peace in the Earth Kingdom: "shank the b!@#$" lol

Also, last time someone assassinated a despotic leader of the Earth Kingdom, the whole nation fell apart. Korra must be aware of this. Seasons 1-3, and especially 3, were constantly hammering down how killing world leaders = bad. Hell, AtLA also hammered that one down.
