Pretty much, Part 3 was just Araki figuring out how to write and use Stands in battle, and from Part 4 onwards Stands get WAY more creative and...uhhh...bizarre, for lack of a better word lmao.

Exactly everyone forgets Araki had to invent a whole new battle system the likes of which had never been seen in manga before entirely from scratch as well as phase out his old power system. That's not the easiest thing to figure out right away.

From this season onwards, the Stand battles get pretty creative, so I hope you guys actually pay attention to the cool nuances and rules to each Stand ability, cause if you miss something, it can get pretty confusing

The movie you guys are thinking about was probably Small Soldiers (the Toy Soldiers movie that came out in 1991 wasnt about actual toys). Toy Story was 1995. This was actually a bit older cause Araki was writing these chapters in 1992 All that aside this stand was ridiculous and noone should apologize for laughing at Araki drawing seriously fighting GI Joe soldiers
