It's funny you mention they should of just left it as that, because much like season 1 the creators of the show thought they weren't getting to make anymore episodes after that. Can't wait for these next two seasons though best in the series

I've always liked Korra. I think people give her a hard time because they don't comprehend what her story is really about. The truth is Korra was written to be a bad avatar by design. That's the whole foundation of her journey. She's clearly more gifted than Aang but lacks his pure spirit and maturity. So the story is more about her growing up and understanding what responsibilities she has as the avatar. This will become more prevalent in season's 3 and 4. And if you enjoyed book 2, you're gonna LOVE this next book.

Nickelodeon really mess up the writers of the show with saying one season 12 ep then giving them another season 14 ep. And coming at them again with two more seasons both 13 ep was just dirty by Nickelodeon. But I always want to know if the writers were told from the start that they will get four seasons to work with how the story would change.

I’m not gonna say much cuz there’s still 2 whole books left but yeah she definitely gets a bad rap. Also a lot of times people confuse writing decisions with Korra’s personal decisions, like it’s not her fault she lost the connection to the avatars, she’s a victim. But yes, y’all should be excited for these last 2 seasons, we’re hype!

The creator of Samurai Jack dealt with this issue in the industry the best IMO. His show got stopped before he was done telling his story. He knew how long it was suppose to be from start to end. He didn't rush it or cut stuff out when he got told it was being taken off air. It just ended when it ended and finally after years of fan demand it finally got put back on to finish the story.

Imon's definitely on point with her comments. I think this show does well to portray struggles/flaws and growth. But I think people are ridiculous; if she excelled in all capacities, they would accuse her of being a Mary Sue. Female protags are cut very little slack when it comes to showing weakness in character. Its like people expect them to be "badasses" right off the bat.

I saw a comment about the two different shows a long time ago that said that “The Last Airbender is about a human learning to become more of an Avatar while Korra is about an Avatar learning to become more of a human,” and that’s always stuck with me when thinking about the different Avatar series’. I personally enjoy both and I think that both shows are amazing in their own ways.
