Gus turned on the gas when he entered. Frozen chicken->Hot oil ->Oil explodes->Gas caught on fire->Boom

Kim is such a great character. I’m not sure if it’s due to media I gravities towards as a man, but I really like that she is full character. I don’t feel like women are given her range of complexity and then also have it actually explored very often.

In Breaking Bad Saul does mention having an ex-wife.

He felt bad about the grieving family and took it out on Howard.

I think you guys are on to something with Jimmy’s specific hatred for Howard. For me, Jimmy’s hatred for Howard comes from his own insecurities and inferiority complex. To Jimmy, Howard represents everything that he will never be. Howard is most people’s idea of what traditional success looks like. He is wealthy, he's a partner at HHM, and, most importantly, he is respected by his peers (including Chuck!). Jimmy greatest wish always seems to be accepted, but he gets shot down every time he tries to be a good, upstanding lawyer. Jimmy finds and builds a great case all on his own and then presents it on Chuck on a silver platter, and Chuck throws it in his face then tries to get him disbarred. Jimmy speaks from the heart at his reinstatement hearing, and the panel denies him and claims that his real emotions are insincere. Jimmy sees what other people think about him. He knows they think he is no-good, two-bit, bus-bench lawyer. He sees that no matter what he does, it is impossible for him to escape that box that people put him in because of his education or his personality or whatever it is that makes Jimmy an ‘other’. He will always be “the kind of lawyer that guilty people hire.” Howard got everything that Jimmy wants by default. He was born into the law. His dad gave him a job at a huge law firm right after law school. Despite his somewhat fake personality, people like Howard and respect him. He is a perfect representative of the system that has rejected Jimmy simply for being who he is. The system that tells Jimmy that he will never be good enough. It is hard to overstate how much of this aspect of Jimmy’s personality comes from his relationship with Chuck. I think it can be argued that the system’s rejection of Jimmy is more perceived by Jimmy than real (he did get a job at Davis and Main after all), but Chuck really did look down on Jimmy. He hated watching him succeed and attributed all of Jimmy’s successes to luck or Jimmy’s ability to charm people. Someone you love and respect having such a low opinion of you is going to have devastating effects on how you view yourself. Because his brother could never look past his faults, Jimmy doesn’t believe anyone will be able to look past them, even Kim. I think Jimmy is annoyed with Howard’s progress with his mental health because, for a while, Jimmy could be ‘superior.’ Jimmy was getting through the day knowing that his actions lead to Chuck’s death, and Howard was not. But Jimmy was never really dealing with his emotions, just pushing them down, and now Howard is back, and he is doing well. Jimmy sees his new Zen outlook on life and thinks it’s bullshit. Howard should just suck it up like me! He wants to break Howard and show that he isn't better. He wants to show that it is impossible to get better. Of course, Jimmy also perceives Howard’s genuine concern as Howard looking down on him because that is what he has been conditioned by the system and especially Chuck to think.

I thought the silence at the end of Jimmy's banter spoke volumes. It's almost like he finally realized how far gone he is. But yeah, you're right. That's the first time we saw Jimmy express his true emotions. Most of the time, he's either suppressing it or projecting it onto others, ala the young female lawyer who got turned down by HHM. What's even crazier is that may be the first time Jimmy got to hear himself -- which further highlights his need for therapy around this time. That being said, I think a lot of Jimmy's hatred stems from Chuck. Remember when Howard took the blame for Chuck's death? I believe Jimmy expected that to cripple Howard. Instead, not only is Howard showing progress mentally, he seems to be recovering financially too. And it pisses Jimmy off seeing Howard handle Chuck's death so well. As Forrest said, I think it makes Jimmy feel inferior. "How dare this bastard be happy knowing he's responsible for my brother's death?" So Howard would be better off if he just left Jimmy alone. Unfortunately, I think we all know he won't.

He actually mentions being divorced twice. Thing is he also mentions this at the beginning of this episode, implying he and Kim never got divorced.

I know this is way late but never deep fry a frozen chicken. The oil will explode out and catch everything on fire
