Hamon is out girls, stands are in. Btw part 3 is probably the most brutal out of the anime imo. Don't worry, Jotaro will grow on you and it's okay if you wanna ignore the 17 thing in Jojo, I mean, look at them. (and its an anime)

Think of stands as something akin to nen abilities. They come in different forms/powers (I.e. Kite’s Crazy Slots compared to Pitou’s Dr Blythe). I’m pretty sure nen abilities exist because Araki made stands.
