I've never really liked or disliked the Truth, it just seemed amoral to me. Like it doesn't make the rules, it just deals out the punishments for breaking them. Equivalent exchange is the law of the world, and if you commit the taboo it has to take something away from you. It obviously has its own sarcastic "personality", but I after an eternity of humanity committing the same mistakes regardless, I guess it just has a jaded view

This is the most accurate depiction of the being/energy we attribute the name "God" to me. "Good" & "Evil" are subjective, and human constructs. So in my view I see "God"as above those things. The contrast between Truth’s interactions wit Ed & The Flask Force out all of an individual’s preconceptions of what God should be and think. Which is why people get so uncomfortable when they watch it, cuz he ain’t the straightforward "everything is good or bad dude, right or wrong dude” lmao. You gotta think if God is this jealous, angry, vengeful being as depicted in many religious constructs, than how much better would he be than a human and who or WHAT are you truly worshipping. The point of this show being any living thing has the choice of becoming a “God" or a "Devil" which is why Truth takes the form of who it’s talking to. That’s a bar in itself. It’s not manipulative, only gon give you what YOU would give yourself.

The true test is to see if you relate to any aspects of ol boy, the dwarf in the flask. Wanting to reach perfection but trying to REMOVE OR HIDE WHAT MAKES YOU HUMAN AND FLAWED instead of embracing and controlling them.

Its interesting to note that you don't lose a part of yourself for performing human transmutation, you lose it in order to gain knowledge(transmutation without a circle etc.) akin to Odin giving his eye for knowledge
