On that day, vengeful Eren was born! Some clarification concerning the walls so far! There are three walls total - Wall Maria (outer), Wall Rose (middle), and Wall Sina (innermost). Each wall has four protruding districts. The giant ass titan breached the front gate of Shiganshina district, which was one of the protruding districts of Wall Maria. The other one that you saw this episode, breached Wall Maria by destroying Shinganshina's inner gate. Now everyone is pushed back behind the second wall, Wall Rose.

This show is definitely worth binging imo. Just a heads up, I've seen other people react to this show casually and they forget really important things so as y'all are watching pay close attention to anything that has to do with the overall story. You'll need to remember it later on down the line otherwise the show won't make sense. For instance, there was a short scene in this episode that a lot of people might ignore when first watching (I know I did). Not gonna spoil, just saying some things may be more important than you think. Also, as soon as Imon mentioned she liked the show Gantz, I knew she would fall in love with this show lolz

Imon & Abi sorry try not to play favs but love you two the most even though you have multiple collaborators I won one of the shirts which I wore to the U.S. premiere of MHA the movie but as a heads up you'll only be helped by taking notes during this show as it does get dense in the lore & if not watched at once it can be confusing

Ahh, Gantz! They were talking about despair early in the reaction and i gotta say, for how cruel the world of AoT is, i don't think it can match the level of despair that Gantz has made me feel but i'm not caught up on the manga so who knows, maybe there is some despair in store for me yet. I sure hope not, fuck.

And Wall Maria's land has the largest area, mainly used for farming with that being inaccessible due to Titans, it led to shortages of food. To get a better idea on this, look at this and last episode's mid-episode info card that has the layout of the 3 walls, i think if i'm not mistaken Shiganshina District is the southernmost protruding circle.

Yes Gantz definitely leaves you feeling despair..like all the time. I read a few manga like that and it really takes a toll on you. That is why I think I will be okay for now. I am sure once I get attached to the characters it will be a different story.

SEASON 3 SPOILER COMMENT DON'T READ . . . . . . Fuuuuuuck I forgot Eren's dad comes back this episode. So he actually does come back to Eren, then takes him out to turn him into a Titan after killing most of the Reiss family, only for Eren to eat him. And they're probably gonna be wondering where Eren's dad is for a while now not knowing that the "dream/flashback" sequence was actually during this time.

Aot manga has just gotten more despairing as it's gone on lol. But I haven't read Gantz so I can't make a comparison.
