A lot of my values and morals also come (or were reenforced) from series and film growing up. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the biggest for me. Right down to my vernacular did it help shape who I was. And yes, authentic, honest, logical minded, empathetic people are an affront to narcissists. Naomi's arc the last several episodes of the season put me through physical and mental anguish.

So when Naomi makes the space jump the thing she injects herself with is probably hyper-oxygenated blood. This is the same thing they injected Monica when she was almost dead earlier in the season. The injection would have given Naomi a few extra seconds of consciousness in space, otherwise she would have passed out within about 20 seconds. The pain that Naomi goes through in these two episodes is insane. First all the stuff Marco and Filip do and say to her, and also Cyn telling her that he helped in the kidnapping of Filip, it's a lot. But the pain that she would go through on the space jump would be awful. Being in space she'd get a sunburn with no suit, probably first and 2nd degree burns on her exposed skin. Without a suit her blood and other fluids would start to bubble and turn into a gas. Survivable, but the pain would linger for a while. Something similar can happen to deep sea divers if they come up to the surface too quick because of the rapid change in pressure on the body. It's called decompression sickness or "the bends" when it happens to divers. The actor who plays Cyn is really good, I see him in a lot of tv shows, never learned his name though. But yeah this show really goes to dark and relevant places this season, and I really liked the talk at the end.

Any sun damage wouldn’t be that immediate, but the instant pressure drop also immediately evaporates all the moisture on her membranes like eyes, and and capillaries would burst so she’d be covered in a full body bruise and that’s why they showed the bloody eyes as all the capillaries there burst. We even have experience to know the effects and time to lose consciousness, since NASA had a test pilot in a vacuum chamber whose air hose came loose and he was exposed to full vacuum for about as long as Naomi.

It’s painful to watch, in part because it’s incredibly well portrayed by both Tipper and Keon. It’s so dead on, down to beating the person down and then immediately complementing them to build that dependence on the slightest praise. They have a scary understanding of how to use peoples weaknesses against them.

It's a crime Tipper didn't win rewards for her performance this season. Also another example of a strong women in this show, not that she hasn't been shown to be that before. Also love how this show has the engineers act like engineers, scientists like scientists, etc. These are the reasons I can watch this show over and over!

Here is what I posted after E10:

Thanks for taking the lead on explaining the "Alex" situation T Arnold. As viewers at the time, we all knew he was going to be written out but we didn't know how. It was as much of a surprise for book readers and non book readers alike. Otherwise this is an amazing episode that I believe also won a Hugo award. I am putting a link here from Spacedock which goes through the details of the battle between the Roci and the 5 Inaros ships which explains some of the "blink and you miss it" tactical events because, like you, I was confused what exactly happened. The performance of Dom Tipper this season is simply outstanding. She deserved every award that exists but Science Fiction mostly gets overlooked (despite its prowess in the box office movie wise!!). One of the reasons I watch and support reactors to The Expanse is that I want the last three books put to screen as do many other fans. Hope you enjoy Season 6! Don't forget to watch the XRays attached to each episode (collectively called One Ship). They can be seen from TV or Computer screen viewings. I was sobbing right along with you as a dedicated empath. Keep tissues handy for S6 as well!!
