Marco is a classic narcissist who wants the power and adoration at least as much as he cares about the belter cause. He’s not wrong about how terribly they’ve been treated but he’s using that piece of the truth to drive his own agenda. And the parenting behavior is the same, nacicistic abuser that alternates between tearing people down and then praising them just enough teaching them to need his praise.

Regarding the emergency core dump: All of the overheated plasma from the drive is expelled suddenly as the engines shut off and the torpedoes are targeted to the drive plume and explode in the plasma. Meanwhile the ship hurtles away apparently "dead in the water" as the engine is off. It is a desperate way of preventing being blown up by torpedoes used in the books as well. The other way of diverting torpedoes is to explode your torpedoes to imitate a drive much as we saw in E2 of S3. Great episode, especially the story of how Amos and Peaches escape the maximum security prison with the help of "Tiny" . As you might imagine, the actor playing that character had a blast on the set of The Expanse!

regarding E6: Cara Gee was pregnant during filming for S5. She and Keon Alexander (playing Marco) are best friends. during the scene when she is very close to Marco she was bumping into him with her baby bump which made it hard for him not to break character! Cara can be very funny and devious at times!

Amos and Clarissa's relationship together is one of my favorite things in the whole series.

What I love so much about The Expanse. One of the few shows that demonstrated that life is not so black & white as portrayed typically in stories. This show shows the nuance behind decisions, sides, actions taken by people. How things actually are in real life though some make the mistake IRL of thinking things are black & white only. While there are indeed some things that are not debatable as to rather they're good or bad, many things are not that simple!
