Intro

We have 2 games this GW with one on Wednesday and the other on Friday night.

There is significant rotation risk for the Wednesday game especially as both teams played over the weekend and play again on Saturday.

We wont get the press conference/training news for the Friday game.

Predicted Lineups

These can also be found on Playsharper website here . Also note that all the betting odds and lineup pics are taken direct from them!

Important to note the %s used here and where they are not above 75% it is because I feel there is some risk involved. My main aim with these is to show where risk/potential DNPs are lurking.

I base these %s on info I read from various sources including comments from the manager and reading a lot of local Japanese news coverage/message boards.

These are my own opinion of the situation at each team. I try to be as neutral as possible but we all have biases :) So always do your own research when making picks!

Urawa vs Shonan

Notes - General

  • A huge error and own goal from keeper Nishikawa led to a 1-1 draw with Kawasaki.
  • 5th in the league and unbeaten in 10 games.
  • Akimoto and Ogiawara went off with injury and unlikely to play this game.

Notes - This game

  • Sakai returns from suspension which is a huge positive with injuries piling up.
  • Ohata is likely to play as the other wingback
  • Scholz missed training on Sunday after a horrible challenge on him. He is in training as of today and though a slight risk, I have him as starting
  • Rotation in general is likely in the attacking third. Midfielders like Ito/Iwao/Hayakawa etc at highest risk, very hard to predict.
  • Have only lost once at home this season.

Notes - Key Players

  • Scholz
  • Sakai
  • Nishikawa

Notes - General

  • In v poor form and bottom of the table.
  • Lots of players rotating/missing at the weekend.

Notes - This Game

  • Suffered a humiliating 0-6 loss at home to Sagan Tosu.
  • Experienced players like Oiwa, Barada missing from the squad. Unclear the situation.
  • Song Bum Keun expected to return in nets after surprisingly being benched.
  • Team are winless in 11 league games and failed to keep a clean sheet so far this season

Notes - Key Players

  • Sugioka
  • Machino
  • Ishihara

Odds

Cerezo vs Fukuoka

Notes - General

  • In great form with 4 wins in their last 5 league games. Are now 4th in the league.
  • KJH remains out injured
  • Okuno is doubtful with a slight knee injury

Notes - This game

  • Same team is most likely scenario with Kato continuing upfront.
  • Game is on Friday so no need for rotation/resting of players imo
  • Jonjic came on for some mins in the last game. Him vs Shindo is hard to call at this stage.

Notes - Key Players

  • Kagawa
  • Ceara
  • Toriumi

Notes - General

  • In terrible form having lost 5 of their last 6.
  • A number of injuries in defense.
  • Keeper position highly unstable.

Notes - This game

  • Keeper has been changing each time they lose, very unstable and another change expected here.
  • Defensive injuries also mean Inoue or Miya likely to come in. No info on Grolli.
  • I also expect Lukian to come in for Wellington who was poor at the weekend/

Notes - Key Players

  • Yamagishi
  • Nara
  • Mae

Finish

I hope found this useful!

Not many games in Asia or in general this GW. Some rotation risk as always but this is good GW to target all star or rare asia with ideally Urawa and Cerezo players.

As always these are just my own views on the situation based on research for each team.

If any info comes out before the deadline, I will post it on Discord

If you have any feedback or queries, just give me a shout.

Good luck and enjoy the games :)
