Intro

We have 1 game this GW in the J1 league.

Thats the Friday night clash between Sapporo and Kyoto.

As this game is a few days away, info from training is limited and no press conferences have taken place.

This midweek, there is only this game in the Asia division with some CSL games too which have a few players available to use. That means, there is only 2 keepers (likely Sugeno and Wakahara) available to use. It can be a good GW to play Asia if you can get 5 players out. I personally cant for example so will use my cards in threshold.

Predicted Lineups

These can also be found on Playsharper website here . Also note that all the betting odds and lineup pics are taken direct from them!

Important to note the %s used here and where they are not above 75% it is because I feel there is some risk involved. My main aim with these is to show where risk/potential DNPs are lurking.

I base these %s on info I read from various sources including comments from the manager and reading a lot of local Japanese news coverage/message boards.

These are my own opinion of the situation at each team. I try to be as neutral as possible but we all have biases :) So always do your own research when making picks!

Sapporo vs Kyoto

Notes - General

  • Sapporo have won back to back games with the same lineup.
  • Aoki, Gu Hee Kim and Fukai are out with injuries

Notes - Last Game

  • Won in impressive fashion with a 4-2 win away at Shonan. This win took them up to midtable in the league
  • Komai scored for the second game running. Ogashiwa who returned from injury has been key to their recent success and he scored and assisted in this game.
  • Are in good form with only 1 defeat in their last 5 and have scored 9 goals in their last 2 games

Notes - This game

  • Should keep the same team that has done well the last 2 games. No known new injuries currently
  • Have only kept 2 sheets from this seasons 13 games.

Notes - Key Players

  • Fukumori
  • Kaneko
  • Ogashiwa

Notes - General

  • Kyoto are third bottom of the league and have lost their 3 games on the bounce.
  • Tameda is a long term injury and out till August

Notes - Last Game

  • A bizarre and somewhat unlucky own goal from Wakahara led to Kyoto losing 0-1 at home against Cerezo Osaka. Kyoto had their chances but were unable to breakthrough Cerezos defences

Notes - This game

  • No known new injuries. Manager has been rotating the strikers alot between Patric/Yamasaki/Ichimi
  • In poor form with only 1 win in 8 games.

Notes - Key Players

  • Sota Kawasaki
  • Rikito Inoue
  • Yuta Tokoyawa
