A slight update from the training news and presser from today:
- Nagato did the press conference. He is keen to start at LB and slight fav. Kato and Watanabe can player there
- No fresh injury concerns. In fact, long term injury worries such as Koike and Hatanaka were playing contact training games
ORIGINAL POST BELOW
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Just one game this midweek involving J1 league teams and thats tomorrow YFM game the return leg of the 1/8 ACL tie
Predicted Lineups
Important to note the %s used here. If no %, it means I see them as a starter and no known risks. For sorare, its about there scorer potential so check out KEY PLAYERS even subs have a way :)
When 75% or below - there is some risk involved. My main aim with these is to show where risk/potential DNPs are lurking.
I base these %s on info I read from various sources including comments from the manager and reading a lot of local Japanese news coverage/message boards. Saying that, there will always be unknowns including last minute injury/illness of a player etc.
Always do your own research when making picks. For SO5, it can make sense to take some calculated risks depending on the potential score and the rest of your team/prize pool.
YFM vs Shandong
YFM
- Played well and beat Shandong in the away leg last week 1-2. In the driving seat to qualify
- Matsubara is back from suspension and should start at RB
- Had no league game during the weekend so team are well rested. This game will be priority over league game coming up at the wkend.
- Nagato came off the bench and played well at LB. Unclear if ready to start. Kato/Watanabe also options
- Limited amount of training info available yet. Same lineup setup as last week expected. Midfield CM spots most up in the air, Uenaka played well imo.
- Beat Shandong at home in the group stages 3-0 win in December
- Shandong came back from behind to beat Kawasaki at their stadium in the last round. Lots of quality upfront.
Key SO5 Players - Popp, Eduardo, Elber, Yan
Set Piece Takers - Elber, Yan, Eduardo
SO5
YFM are the only Asia licensed club playing this GW. There are also a few players available for 1 other ACL tie involving Saudi teams.
Though there are not many card rewards available in Asia, if you are able to play a full YFM stack esp in Asia Rare Pro/SR then I would be tempted to go for this and aim for the podium $ prizes.
Of course need luck but over a season I find these small asia GWs decent when I can play full stacks.
All Star Rare Pro is also tempting looking at the number of eth rewards and other matchups.
Injuries
I have updated the injury tracker following the wkend games. It can be found here . If there are any players missing, please do let me know!
Finish
Hope you found this useful!
If anything important comes out before the deadline, esp training news, I will post on Discord
I expect (hope!) for the new J1 league cards this week. I will be posting a watchlist of players I particularly like
