Hey guys, major announcement here!
Iâm very very excited to announce that after some horrible process changes, excruciating revisions, and careful consideration, weâre now close to finally getting a new Lovecraft Locker game.
However, this wonât be Lovecraft Locker: Tentacle Asylum yet, as weâve previously announced (seriously, a canceled game again? lol! Of course not though.). Instead, this new project will be titled:
Lovecraft Locker: Tentacle Hell
Here's a short GIF of the gameplay so far. It currently uses placeholder assets to ease the initial phase of development.
Much of the base game is has now been planned and some already implemented using placeholder assets, but still tons of stuff is yet to be created.
So, whatâs Tentacle Hell?
Tentacle Hell is, you guessed it, takes place in some kind of hell school or at least the first part of it. Itâs populated by demon girls and various other monster girls which youâll have to capture and do fun things with.
Since Tentacle Hell takes place in a different reality, much of the old mechanics from Tentacle Lust will be abolished and remade. Mechanics such as reports, skills, days, and shock have been removed and are instead reinvented to a more compressed version of all those mechanics.
Instead of also linear and almost infinite gameplay, the game will now be âshortâ, âcompactâ and âreplayableâ (the words weâve really put out minds into), with an immediate definite start and ending for each playthrough. The areas will now be formal levels that actually have significant gameplay aspects that escalate in difficulty as you play the game. At the moment, the plan is to divide the game into five levels with each level having its own theme, gameplay, girls, and challenges.
In terms of art direction, we're aiming to take everything in a different direction. We've been wanting to change the art style of Lovecraft Locker for quite some time now anyway. Here's what we got so far:
Tentacle Hell will use the Tentacle Lust engine as the base game, but with a lot more improvements on the backend.
Overall, expect Tentacle Hell to be more of a âcomplete gameâ when you play it, unlike Tentacle Hell.
The initial demo for LCL: Tentacle Hell is currently available for STRANGE and NAUGHTY Patrons here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16vyyVMT1EqQHgv8sFYG4jfimz-c0A-sD?usp=share_link
If you got any ideas, please let us know! This may be the time we implement your Tentacle Lust ideas into Tentacle Hell!
Stay tuned for more updates soon!
