Naughty Laundry v0.9.0 is now live! (Patreon)

Certainly been a crazy week so far. Been working on this from 8 AM to 11 PM every day for the past few days but it all feels worth it with our progress so far.

Anyway, so yeah!  Naughty Laundry is finally in that level of polish where you can think more about the game that what stuff should still be polished. A couple of points though before I start with the changes:

• Visuals for the custom/story scenes are still the same as the first release version. We're still working on the new animation system for them.
• Dialogues are also still pretty much the same as we're also working on the new "dialogue path" system. However, the workflow for adding them has already been done and all that's left will be actually writing them!

Now, on the changes:

NEW VISUALS

I posted the image above on our Discord but basically, we decided to take the "cute art" route again like what we did with Lovecraft Locker. It turned out way better than we all expected!

The game now looks pretty with the final art:

NEW TRANSITIONS

The temporary main menu and miscellaneous scenes are really bugging me so I spent a few hours to really polish them.

With the new background, it looks really neat!

NEW DIALOGUE SYSTEM AND WORKFLOW

As I mentioned, the current one still has a pretty bare dialogue. We plan to overhaul them soon as well and the first part of it is already done. I started by creating a spreadsheet template to handle the dialogues in a readable manner and also have that spreadsheet handle the code generation once imported into the game.

Aside from that, I rewrote the dialogue system for the 4th time to handle the "dialogue paths" system in the upcoming update.

Lastly...

NEW GAMEPLAY SNEAK PEEK!

As can be seen here, I added a new UI in the main gameplay scene. It's still in the works, but basically, this game will have a "financial/business" management aspect alongside the NSFW theme.
