Okay, I'd feel a lot worse about how long this took if it weren't for the fact that this update is double the size of my usual builds.  With this update, chapter 2 of Temptation's Ballad is now complete. Thank you guys for your patience, I really appreciate it! ;;w;;

With this update comes the Cole x Sidd lewd scene I'm sure many of you are waiting for. I hope you enjoy ;3

After this update, I will be shifting focus from Temptation's Ballad back to Repeat for the next 6 months. Those of you who are waiting for the rest of Sissel's route will be pleased! Thank you guys for sticking with me through thick and thin. Let's make 2021 a great year!

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said this update was long. That took a full two hours to get through. And I was thoroughly impressed; you clearly put a lot of work into this, in dialogue, art, and backstory. I didn't expect the day's storyline to be as non-linear as it was, but it was an interesting change, and a good format for the group's most productive day so far. First off, thank you for giving Hamish some love, since even I didn't realize how much he deserved it. The unsung hero of the Bonebreaker clan always is either running things behind the scenes or being the voice of reason in the family, but damn, you really put into perspective just how much he does to keep the family and the business running, and does it despite not getting any credit for it. Cole needs to give him a big hug and an apology right away. Speaking of the Bonebreakers, I'm just as surprised as Sidd and Artemi about how surprisingly bookish they are, but Cole teaching Sidd how to read was adorable and heartwarming, especially how Cole was so eager to avenge Sidd's past. It's nice to see a chaotic neutral outlaw with a surprisingly strong moral compass. And may Artemi continue to cultivate her newfound interest in gay erotica (it's the Bonebreaker library, so I think that's a safe bet). As for the supply closet scene, that might just have been the hottest lewd scene in any visual novel you've done so far (also am lowkey hoping for some scenes with Wes and Grank after Cole's encounters with them; seems like they swing his way a little). Besides Grank secretly being a lewd boi (still impressed at how you snuck that in), his upbringing is quite surprising indeed, especially at just how far he got in his life of crime before his redemption. I'm starting to think that's part of why Artemi's mother isn't a fan of him; she seems to be a stickler for protocol and the nearly executed crime lord is quite against the normal way of doing things. Though if the Creator is the author of the story, then he does indeed have a sense of humour. As for Prince Cassius, his fast rise to power right after the deaths of both of his parents in a short time, and Grank seemingly being under a suggestion spell, and his seeming love of edgy aesthetics, and the fact that he seemingly deliberately brought a demon into this realm, makes me think he's a Palpatine sort of figure. Great job on this last update, and I eagerly await more (in six months, after some Repeat). Hope you take care of yourself, and get some well-deserved rest.

hmm i can see the prince as a more of a count dooko/vader cuz the way this is heading and the trope that is common, the knight commander will end up being the bad guy in the end ;)

Love the new update and can't wait for the next one, but I have a few questions that are bugging me. Mainly the question of, how was Cole "made" and born if both of his parents are guys?

Truly an amazing update. the lewd scene, the information on different classes, The sweet and honest moments between family members and development is sincerely wonderful to see(hits the heart every time). another thing is that knight commander sly grin and being down to earth was something too. can't wait to see more of everyone!

Aaaah thanks again for writing out your thoughts! This is delicious food for the writer side of my brain <3 Hope you guys enjoyed the non-linear format of this update! It lets me put in a lot of scenes in what feels like a very short amount of time. It'll let me add in lewd scenes or do some character building for the side characters without interrupting the plot too much. I plan on creating a few of these "exploration" phases here and there between plot heavy segments to give the reader some room to breathe. HAMISH BEST DAD. Some folks have been theorizing that Hamish might be a bad guy and I'm just stewing in the corner like hnnnnnnggg he's doing his best, give him a break ;;w;; The library scene was really important to me since it was based off of a real experience I had as a kid. Reading is hard, y'all, don't let stupid adults make you feel lesser. Cole's been a pretty big brat throughout the beginning of Chapter 2 so I'm glad I got the chance to sprinkle some goodness onto our problematic yeen uwu Grank's gonna be a pretty complex character to figure out as the story progresses. I'm looking forward to how y'all are gonna react to his place in the overarching plot :3 Also, Grank's a lewd bear, I definitely hope to add some lewd scenes for him in the future hehe~ I've never watched the star war so I'm not sure what a Palpatine is, but Prince Cassius is gonna have a fair bit of development that might surprise y'all~ Anyway, thank you again for the wonderful post-update review! I always look forward to reading these <3
