That's all for now! Thanks for waiting. Sylvia will probably return someday.

Art note: I did avoid using the extreme shadows from the intro drawing. Partly to save time but, mostly for clarity. Hope that doesn't disappoint.

The story!

It was the strangest sensation Louie had ever felt.

The squirrel girl had pointed the gun at him and he'd frozen. When she pulled the trigger, he expected to see the muzzle flash and feel the shock of a bullet and immense pain.

What he saw was a bolt of greenish light that lifted him off of the floor. He was surrounded by shifting greenish lights. Then, his whole body began to contact. It felt, almost pleasant. Then his fingers and toes began to feel very odd, nails pushing out. Still, there was no pain. Then his ears flopped down onto his shoulders and he began to worry.

Not panic, though. Something was keeping him from panicking. Even as his vision began to change. Suddenly he was seeing more to the side and the front was almost invisible to him. Not that there was anything but the flashing lights.

He felt nauseated for a moment and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he was aware of three things.

Firstly, his field of vision no longer felt odd.

Secondly, the flashing lights were fading.

Thirdly, he was over a yard in the air.

Gravity suddenly reset itself and he fell to the floor coming to a soft-ish landing on his clothes. He looked down at himself, then up at the now-gigantic squirrel girl. Still, something was keeping him from panicking.

Well, he thought, I'm a rabbit. How strange.

"Awwww!" said the voice of the giant squirrel girl above him, "Didn't you turn out adorably! Those floppy ears are just so cute! I'd take you home but, Trevor would be so jealous. Plus, I don't have time to make you a tie."

Unable to speak, Louie tired to communicate with the squirrel girl with as much expression as he could muster. Why did you turn me into a rabbit?

The squirrel girl answered his question. She probably couldn't read minds or rabbit expressions but, just knew what he was likely thinking.

"Sorry about that," She said, "I just couldn't have you stopping me. This is a really important job. I know being turned into a rabbit might seem cruel but for one thing, it's better for you than a Tommy gun. For another, it's So fun to turn people into animals! Well, I've got to go. Been nice transmogirfying you!"

As she turned, Louie pleaded soundlessly; turn me back!

"Oh, don't get your shorts in a bunch," Looking over her shoulder, "It's not forever. Probably a few hours. Maybe a couple of days. Two weeks, tops. Anyway, see you later, alligator!"

With that, she performed an amazing leap up the wall and left through the skylight.

Louie sat there in the darkened museum. Luckily, he thought, the curator was an animal lover and she'd be in about seven. At least they won't throw him outside. After that, who knew?

One thing was sure, he thought, when I turn back, I'm definitely asking for a raise.
