I've always wanted my current webcomic to have halftones (à la manga!), and never really took the time to "learn" how to do it.

And whaddya know... it's super easy and changes everything and I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS!!!

basically it adds a super nostalgic feel to the comic for me that I absolutely adore. I feel like I'm reading a classic but it's like... my art. so weird and delightful!

I'll be changing past pages to halftones in time, just so the comic's consistent in its style from start to end. And so it looks super purdy when printed B)

Hmmm... I dunno... I mean, it's your comic and you can do what you choose with it, but I always thought that you were going for a more earthy, organic look, with all the gentle pencilly lines and tones. I thought that it gave the comic quite a distinctive look, and a look that tied in with the comic's gentle pace and its themes of the natural world. Having more industrial, printing-style tones in the comic gives quite a different look, and one that's a bit more mechanical and mass-produced. I'm just a little worried that it might end up making the comic look less impressive and less individual. Still, like I said, it's your comic and it's your decision on how to create it. And who knows, maybe it'll turn out okay.
