As Todd Howard would say ;) 

I just finished the coding part, implementing day/night cycle and how events will play out using this system - both repeatable and one-time, unique scenes.
It seems everything works as I hoped it would ^^
It's not super complex but it allows for some player agency to make it more exciting than pure VN. The best part is - I can now freely modify, add or remove pieces as the need arises.

The screenshot is from the in-game main night time menu.
Also, you might notice new element in the upper left corner of the screen.

We're getting closer. The update turned out bigger than initially planned but late August release is still the most likely scenario.
