Writathon is a beast that I need to slay. I really wanted to do it, but felt bad giving extra love to one story and not the other. So I made the mistake of just deciding to write faster.

Normally I alternate back and forth, doing some work on Butcher for a Couple of chapters, and then some Milo stories. Writing faster means doing everything else faster, including making my brain go faster and remember all the details. Why can Milo do that? Because of my own wish fulfillment. I need a better brain.

The halfway point was a bear to get through, because of preparing a retail store for Christmas, the usual fun of raising 16 year old twin girls, and the fun of having a my first grandchild born. But with a bit of work I made both points.

But, I realized I need to really set higher goals for getting stories done, and spend larger blocks of time devoted to one story. Switching back and forth from one to the other added a lot of review time to get back into the head-space of the other story.

To solve that, I'm going to go longer with one story, before I switch, and make things more efficient. Today and Tomorrow I'm working on Butcher and turning outlines to Rough Drafts and Rough Drafts into finished stories. Then I'll switch to Milo.

The ultimate goal for Pateon is a much bigger back-log of stories, and to have them in a more finished form. The short term goal is 5 chapters of each story in finished form. The longer goal is to try to get to 10 chapters ahead by sometime in January.

Time to caffienate and get to work. Thanks for reading.
