This is in regards to Sung jin woo Father. Sung jinwoo's father is in America. So he is not in Korea. Remember when he came out of a gate, it was a gate in America. that is very important to the story because right now nobody in Korea knows that sung jinwoo's father is back. They are in Washington and keeping everything under wraps. Also remember Hwang Dongsoo is from Korea, but got recruited by the American guild called " Scavenger Guild ", so now he lives in american. Once his schedule was freed up He flew into Korea to get revenge for his brother, but Sung jinwoo was stuck in the Red Gate. Because they didn't know how long it would take them to clear the red gate, he end up leaving going back to America, and that is when Hwang Dongsoo ran into Sung jin woo father. i know you started off watching the anime and the anime was lacking on information. i hope this helps with the sung name thing and why nobody has noticed it.
