You know what you must do...change the story so that page never happens. But then at some point in the future you post that page and reveal that everything that happened between now and then has been a hallucination by Hans. Ryland and Joey don't even exist, they're just figments of Han's psychosis, hence why his parents don't want him "hanging around them".
