Two years ago, I started printing my own photos for personal documentation. I love having physical copies of my photos because it allows me to appreciate the details that are often lost on a small screen. Modern cameras can capture so much detail that it's impossible to fully appreciate on a phone or computer screen. I also enjoy being able to flip through physical photos without needing to turn on a device or search through digital folders. It's a great feeling to have my memories at arm's reach.
My parents have a thick photo album filled with memories of their youth and of me and my brother when we were very young. However, with the convenience of digital photography, they stopped printing physical photos. I am aware that my hard drive, computer, or phone may fail one day, but physical photos will always remain, even if they fade over time. I want to preserve and remember these moments, and I've found that printing digital photos allows me to relive certain moments and understand which ones are worth keeping.
Twice a year, I visit my friend to professionally print and archive my photos. I also send a few extra prints to my Patrons as a token of appreciation. This process has allowed me to create my own website, experiment with different printing techniques, and ensure that the prints arrive safely. Now, I am excited to release my First Series of prints to all of you.
I'm not sure if I will create another series of prints, but at least I will continue to expand my photo album for sure, perhaps for my future kids to enjoy flipping through someday lol. Thank you all for your support, and have a wonderful day, wherever you are!
