Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a good-aligned spellcaster)

“Oh, radiant hope, divine and true,

Its wearer wields a sacred might,
With powers blessed, with radiant light.

Bathed in light, we stand as one,
A noble fight, our battles won.
But choices made, both right and wrong,
Can echo in our life's sweet song."

The glove grants a +3 bonus to melee spell attack rolls.

This magical glove is made of a pure white material that never gets dirty. It is adorned with intricate golden trim, and when worn by a good-aligned creature it radiates a warm and comforting light.

Sacred Purification: As an action, the wearer can reach out and touch a creature within 5 feet. The target must make a Constitution saving throw against the wearer's spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 + 1d10 per level of the caster as radiant damage. If the creature has less than half of its maximum hit points and fails the saving throw by 5 or more, it is instantly slain. Upon the target's sudden demise, a random side effect is triggered on the wearer of the glove. If the target makes a successful save, it only takes half the damage.

After using this ability the wearer must recite the prayer in daylight to use it again.

The Glove of Divine Light has two additional variants:

  1. Glove of Divine Light (Very Rare)
    Bonus to Melee Spell Attack Rolls: This variant provides a +2 bonus.
    Sacred Purification: This ability still allows the wearer to deal radiant damage. However, the damage dealt is reduced to 1d8 + 1d8 per level of the caster. If the targeted creature has less than half its maximum hit points and fails its saving throw, it becomes paralyzed. A random side effect is also triggered on the wearer, which is determined by a roll of 1d6 instead of 1d10 as in the legendary version. The effects from the good/bad pool are mapped to the dice results from 1 to 6.
  2. Glove of Divine Light (Rare)
    Bonus to Melee Spell Attack Rolls: The rare variant provides a +1 bonus.
    Sacred Purification: This ability allows the wearer to deal radiant damage to a creature within 5 feet. The damage is 1d6 + 1d6 per level of the caster. If the targeted creature has less than half its maximum hit points and fails its saving throw, it becomes blinded until it can pass a Constitution saving throw at the end of one of its turns. Unlike the other variants, no side effect is triggered in the Rare version.
