Chapter 81 - Change in the timeline? (Patreon)

I looked around the store a bit more and bought four more skills: [Charity], [Mercy], [Temperance], and [Chastity]. All of these are Ruler Skills. Also, I earned four new titles:

[Ruler of Charity]

[Ruler of Mercy]

[Ruler of Temperance]

[Ruler of Chastity]

Each title grants me one or two skills, making me much stronger. Let's discuss them individually, starting with [Ruler of Charity]. The skills I gained from this title are [Miracle Magic LV10] and [Offer], two skills I still need to learn to use.

The title "Ruler of Mercy" gave me only one skill: [Concealment LV1], a passive skill that makes me almost invisible. If I'm not mistaken, it’s an evolution of [Camouflage]. This skill will be very useful.

Next is the title [Ruler of Temperance]. This title granted me two interesting skills. The first is [Record LV10], which significantly enhances my memory (I think). It’s an evolution of [Memory].

The second skill is [Harmony]. This skill allows me to nullify an enemy's attack when activated, perfect for avoiding a fatal attack. I think it’s the best skill I've acquired.

And about the title [Ruler of Chastity], I gained a skill called [Physical Super-Resistance] at level one. Although it's at level one, it significantly improves my physical defense, which is already absurdly high.

So, this is what I gained after purchasing all these skills. I now have 5,000 points left. I'll keep these points since I don't need more skills now.

‘There are some interesting skills here… attack skills and also magic. But I don’t think they are necessary at the moment. Earth magic, water magic… I don’t think I need this.’

Although having magic from all elements would be good.

‘I’ll think about this later; we must move on.’

I looked around, and everyone was ready to leave. They had been waiting a long time for me. ‘Hiiro, let's go. We’re heading north.’

‘North?’

‘Yes, it’s where the country of the army that attacked us is located. I need to find out what’s happening.’ I told her as I approached. Ferdinand, Liu, and the redhead followed me. They stayed behind me the whole time while I used the system.

‘Are you sure you want to do this?’

‘Yes, I need to level up. I think my evolution is near.’

‘You’re already close to your next evolution, and I haven’t even leveled up once.’

‘Don’t worry, I’ll help you with that later. Now it’s time to go.’

In the Renxandt Empire’s palace, Hugo was sitting in a meeting room listening to news from a man dressed in clothes that hid his body entirely, including his face.

“So, Ferdinand is dead?” Hugo asked with a smile. Ferdinand was one of his weakest subordinates, so he wasn’t concerned. Even though he was weak, the person who killed him must be strong.

“Yes, Ferdinand is dead. He was killed, although I thought he could have won that fight.”

“You watched everything? How was it? The spider.”

“There were two spiders there. Both seemed to communicate very well. The spider that killed Ferdinand was slightly bigger and much stronger.”

“How strong is the spider?”

“The spider isn’t strong enough for you to worry about. I can kill it in the next few days if you allow me. I’m keeping those monsters on my radar.” The man smiled.

His teeth were yellow, and he had small fangs despite being human. He also had dark spots on his wrinkled skin. But only his mouth and cheeks were visible.

The man didn’t like showing his face, not even to Hugo.

“Hmmm… I’m thinking about letting you handle this. Are you sure it will be okay?”

“Yes, don’t worry. When the monsters reach the next city, I will attack.”

“I see. Take care of it. You know what will happen if you fail, right?”

“Yes, sir.”

The man lowered his head and left the room. Hugo sighed and put his feet up on the table. “I want to know where all my classmates are. I’m sure they’re all in this world. I suddenly appeared here two months ago and possessed this idiot’s body. Fortunately, he was part of an amazing family.”

It had only been two months since Hugo came to this world. Everything had changed; it wasn’t like the original story. The timeline, the characters, the world’s power balance, everything had been altered and was a mess.

Even D couldn’t tell what was happening.

Despite this, she couldn’t help but laugh at the whole situation.

Change of POV

A few days passed, and we were nearing the next city before I knew it. I closed my map and saw the city walls in the distance. However, I also noticed people waiting for us.

It was an army. An army more extensive than the previous one.

‘Eliot, I don’t think this is a good idea.’ Kumoko poked me and said. She was very nervous, but I reassured her.

‘Don’t worry, I’m sure everything will be fine. I’m much stronger than any of these people. Besides, my monsters are strong too. Their numbers have decreased, but it’s enough.’

‘Are you sure?’

‘Yes, I’m sure.’

As I started walking slowly towards my battle, a notification arrived.

‘Oh? What perfect timing. I wonder where all this experience came from.’

The problem is that if I evolve, I might faint.

‘For now, let’s focus on my battle.’
