BUT ANYWAY WE’RE HERE FOR FROGS NOT DRAGONS! Welcome back to full length Amphibia reactions, friends :’) I missed this show and watching it with you all soooo much. There’s something very sentimental about Amphibia as a whole and coming back to it after a few months away heightened that emotionality for me.

Where's Maddie, back in the house! It's great to be back with Amphibia, and I think you're right about the break. It lets you have even more appreciation for the show. 🤣 I'm Maddie. (diabolically summoned elder god wreaking havoc) Me: cool! As far as your question: I definitely want to stop for some rest on road trips. I get the desire to keep going, but to me it just seems like there isn't much purpose other than being able to say you did it. I'm all for extremes, but there has to be an end goal that makes some sort of sense. Also, Sprig and Ivy are still so incredibly adorable. And Chuck is still doing great! Question for Alycia: do you have or have you had lucid dreams? If so, what happened and were you able to control it?

Hi there! New year, new Amphibia.🙂 I tune in every now and then and watch the recent episode with you. While I'll probably never be a die-hard-fan of this show, I came to like it quite a bit, especially in combination with your enthusiatic reactions and the equally enlightening and entertaining comments of my fellow patrons here in the comments. So thank y'all for that, I would have never come across this show if it weren't for you. 🤗 As for your question about road trips, the longest you could do here in Germany are probably from the northern Alps to the shores of the Northern Sea or the Baltic Sea. Thanks to the Autobahn you can reach your destination in 7 to 9 hours, depending on the traffic situation. You only do overnight trips to travel across Europe. One time we used to drive from Berlin to Cornwall (UK southwest coast) in 14 hours with the only break on the ferry across the English Channel (about 80 or 90 minutes back then). We were three drivers who took turns behind the wheel every three hours or so. Since we had only four days for the whole trip we aimed to reach our destination as fast as possible. 🤔 And the most memorable road trip was from my hometown in Saxony to Lake Balaton in Hungary (540 miles in 12 hours), when we had a real How-I-Met-Your-Mother-500-miles experience. 😂 Again we took turns behind the wheel and drove all through the night. My turn was in the early morning from eastern Austria to Lake Balaton. We were all tired and sleepy (except for me of course - I was just tired after 8 hours in a packed small car with two other guys and a girl😅). The mood was really low because we just passed some tunnels where the ventilation didn't work properly and we got a bit dizzy and nauseous. As soon as we were out we lowered all windows and hung our heads out of the car like excited dogs, gasping for air. 😂🙈 Then I discovered a unlabelled CD and shoved it into the player on a whim and turned the volume up (Yes CD players were a thing in the 2000s 😉). On came "Barbie Girl", a song no one of us could really hear anymore at this point. And just like in HIMYM we were annoyed at first, but when I wanted to stop it, the girl on the passenger seat suddenly took my hand, stopping me. Then she started singing, loud and wrong and enthusiastic and totally adorable. Soon we joined her, equally loud and wrong and enthusiastic and had the time of our life, while we drove through the Austrian Alps. The valley we drove through was still dark, only the snow covered mountain tops in the west shone bright in the light of the morning sun. This made the trip kind of surreal and beautiful at the same time. 😊💖 But I was in my twenties then, nowadays we only do road trips within a day, with breaks every two hours or so, sometimes going astray to visit friends or nice places along the way. On longer trips we either fly (though I'm not a huge fan of it, see my flight stories some time ago 😂) or ride a train. When we visited Rome, we took a cabin on the Nightjet train. It took 13 hours and was very comfortable. I never reached a destination this relaxed. 🤔🙂😴 Man this got long, almost as long as Jordans comment, next time I beat you! 😉😂 By the way, the road trip story has a nice epilogue: The girl in the passenger seat (my best friend at the time) became my girlfriend a short time later and is now my wife...😍😊
