I went camping a lot when I was younger. Here in Wisconsin, there are plenty of places to camp, but I was either too little to really remember the actual camping or it was just that one time my family went to a place called Jellystone Park camp and resort. Just like the old Hannah Barbera character. (I think there is a picture of me hugging Yogi Bear. When I was little I mean. There's one of me from a few years ago...I said too much.) But there was this sort campsite/cabin place by a lake called Fence Lake, near Minocqua that was available for Johnson Wax workers to take their families. Have tried to go in the past, but either plans fell through or just didn't have the means to get to the site. The closest to in the last couple of years was my bud's bachelor party in Wolf Lake. We stayed at our friend's Christopher (gets made if you call him just Chris, and that we have three with the same name. lol)families cabin. Still willing to go, but might turn into a Cabin in the Woods/Secret Window situation...my lucks that bad. I think the destroyed thing was a stamp thinking it was destroyed. Also as far as camping goes I liked it as a kid was the main thing I joined cub/boy scouts for. As an adult the allure of camping seems fun but not for me. Maybe it's because for over a year I lived out of my car back in my 30s camping has lost it's appeal.

Both of these were such great episodesss! From a comedy standpoint especially I was laughing all the way through these!! Every time Sprig screams really loud and his mouth just opens up SUPER wide like a bear trap I absolutely die laughing, his whole character just really gets me honestly😭😂 The character of Joe was so hilarious in that second one, as soon as his maniacal laugh went on too long I just lost it🤣 Just the way both Sprig and Hop Pop talked to him too, like “WHAT? WHAT IS IT JOE?!” and “Oh Joe, you should’ve seen it-“😆 Sprig just not reading the room at all and being like “Yeah! I love scary stories!!” just incapsulated his whole character for me honestly😂 Omg the Love Doves were amazing and such a funny part! Anne hitting her head on all the light had me laughing extra hard too, as someone who is 6’4, never related to her more😭 The first episode was great and I loved that Polly was literally the only normal person left in Sprigs life at that point because she just doesn’t care about any of that stuff😂 I mean none of them cared of course for the right reasons, Hop Pop and Ivy’s parents should be downright ashamed for their reasoning, despicable🤣 but Anne’s behaviour just further highlights the pattern we’re seeing with her more and more, even just in this episode and last weeks! She’s so quick to disregard the feelings of the people around her the moment she starts having fun, I would imagine it’s kind of a reflex from probably being treated like that by her “friends” back home her entire life. I think when you really want people to like you, at least from my experience, not only are you trying your very best to be exactly like them, but they are typically aware of that “weakness” you have and try to push you out of a comfort zone even beyond their own personal one, turn it into a game of “what’s the craziest thing this person would do to earn my acceptance”. I could imagine Anne’s other two friends have probably never shoplifted themselves but took great pleasure in watching Anne do it! Then there’s the other side of her in the next episode that just wants to be loved and feel included, it’s a great flaw for her overall journey and I think she has the best real friends here with her now to help her grow as a person✨ Even though like it’s not my fault at all or anything I always feel so bad every time a spider pops up mate because that fear is so real every time you see one, you can’t fake that😂 I’m only laughing because I really hate them too! The animated ones I’m not soo bad with, although that spider shed last week did give me a genuine chill down my spine😭💀 Real actual spiders though, anywhere near me are a straight NO🤣 They always seem to put clips of them really randomly into the meme videos I watch sometimes, like just out of nowhere THE most horrific looking spider shows up on my screen for 10 seconds, and I’m just left there thinking “HOW IS THAT FUNNY THO?!?”😭😂 I LOVE camping!! In my first year of college I studied a public service course as my plan at the time was to go into either the navy or the marines, I realised that just wasn’t for me fairly quickly, not just because the training and tests of physicality were intensee, but that was definitely a factor😂 We did so many awesome trips and hikes though out into the middle of nowhere and they’d just leave us as a group to set up camp and “rough it”, I have a lot of fond memories of all of those trips, I learned so many nifty survival tricks and skills and I feel like that year or so gave me a real nice perspective on the world and myself you know, what I’m capable of:’) The last time I camped though was for a festival when I was like 19 and that was a lot of fun too, I just got drunk that time though I wasn’t in survivalist mode at all😂 They mentioned pancakes at the end there too and Polly said she was more of a waffle girl herself, so I thought that could be a good question too! Pancakes or Waffles? I’m much more of a pancake guy myself I have to say, idk it’s just not even close for me😆 I don’t know I’d ever find myself ordering waffles. Love to know which you prefer. Lastly I am having to blow my nose like it’s going out of fashion at the moment if it makes you feel any less gross😂🤧 See you in the next one friend, this one was such a fun one✨

Damn...us Allergy Fetish Content lovers have finally been found out. Hwell...'bout time for me to start hittin' the ol' dusty trail...*slinks out* 🤣 The first episode is sooo cute, my little heart is just awwwing and melting the whole time. And I love Ivy, first of all I've always loved the name Ivy there's something pleasing about it both aurally and seeing it written down and also I love her rough & tumble a little more tomboy-y thing she got going on while still being really sweet and stuff. Ivy is great! As it pertains to camping....I looove nature but I'm not much of a camping person per se. Let me think if I've even been camping for more than a night at a time, I don't think so. Part of the reason for that tho is definitely because I live in Germany and I'm so close to nature all the time that it seems a little superfluous to actually GO camping. Like literally I can put on a backpack WALK to a ferry for about 20 minutes and within 35 minutes of walking and ferrying I'm surrounded by rivers and trees and marshland and sand and I hear birds and all sorts of forest critters and just slap together a campfire watch the sun set on the river and then watch the stars. 🥰 So since I can do that basically any time camping never had that big of an appeal to me. I'm more of a chill by the campfire for couple of hours drink a few beers and watch the stars kinda girl and then I go home. But that is not to say that I would be opposed to join someone to camp for longer if they made me a spectacular proposal to watch something or be somewhere that isn't just readily accessible around here. For example I've always wanted to see the northern lights for real real...I mean like the last couple of months the northern lights kind of made it down to my latitude as we're currently in a very active solar cycle but it's like the watered down version of the northern lights...kind of like what American "beer" is compared to German/European beer 😋 So yeah I'd love to see that or watch the Milky Way from around the equator...for those things I'd go camping basically any kind of length 🌃✨🌠 My other favorite way of enjoying nature is, you know those days where it's hot but it hasn't been hot for many days in a row so when the sun goes down you still get this nice little nip in the air because not everything has been permanently heated up yet but you still get a little bit of heat coming up from the road/pavement? Those are my FAVORITE days of hitting the road...putting the top or windows down, grab myself a driving beer (just one..and yes you are allowed to drink while driving 😄) and start heading for open country as soon as the sun starts hitting the horizon...put my "Cool summer night" driving mix on and just drive around. Man just thinking about it makes my anxiety level go down...I can basically FEEL the rushing air give me goosebumps while I put the heat on mid and get toasty and happy and watch the landscape zoom by in this amber glow. Oh my god if I could I think I would basically do nothing else 🌇🌄 I miss it so much it has been a minute... I'm so excited for this show to pick up, I also enjoy these little super cute episodes and stuff but oh boy are things going to get good...I'm sooo excited for you I wish I could give myself amnesia and watch it all for the first time again. 😊

I think Sprig should be a bit wary when it comes to going back on his courtship with Maddie. I have a hunch she's actually pretty sweet, but she still probably has some nasty tricks up her sleeve, seeing as how she has a Sprig voodoo doll just sort of...laying around. When it come to camping (or anything of that nature) I'm a bit of a lunatic because I have a propensity for living in the extremes. So I absolutely love relaxing creature comforts like spas, massages, long baths, etc. But I also do like the outdoors, and since I apparently have some sort of "turn it up to 11" gene, I'll randomly decide to push boundaries. So with camping I'd probably do what Anne did and say it wasn't crazy enough for me. But I'd actually mean it. I had a friend ask me a couple of weekends ago if I wanted to go hiking. I said it was a great idea but then countered with "How about skydiving instead?" The response was "No. What? No! Have you lost your goddamn mind??" (I took this as a rhetorical question). One time many years ago I decided that going down a black diamond ski slope would be a perfectly reasonable thing to do on my very first day learning how to snowboard. It did not go well. (Which of course means I went right back up and did it again). Sometimes I legitimately have no idea how I'm still alive at this point. 🤣

Spring makes me laugh SO MUCH too. I just adore his zany character. Lol, I kinda hated being tall when I was younger honestly, terrible at hide and seek, spending way more time in stores and shops than anyone else helping people reach top shelf items….😆 I was always told as a kid I would be more intimidating to people because of it, but it’s genuinely only ever attracted unwanted attention! Like when I used to go to clubs or whatever in my late teens people would literally try to fight me ALL THE TIME just for existing and being that height, which I just found insane😭😂 omg LOL I hope we get the chance to live out that scenario one day if I ever get on a flight you’re working on! I’m gonna bang my head real hard and make a scene just to embarrass you for sure😭🤣 lol jk ofc!! Enjoy work mate!✨

Honestly, I'd gotten over camping long before that. I think it was actually a very bad camping trip when I was a late teen my best friends and I went on a church camping trip with Evangelicals. If you are familiar with southern Evangelicals it's basically fundamentalist Christianity though it was way less extreme back then but I basically got death cult vibe. Not like commit suicide vibe but can't wait to die to start the afterlife. Totally ruined camping and organized religion for me. lol

Hop Pop’s old fashioned attitude really came out in this episode- the idea of bargaining Sprig away in the courtship was so ridiculous 🤣 And I love your analysis and insight into Anne’s character. I could totally see her friends pulling a “what’s the craziest thing you’ll do” move. I hope and expect we’ll see her develop and mature more in the coming seasons. It will be a treat to see where she ends up and who she ends up as. LOL!!! I HATE the spider memes/videos! They make me SO MAD and always make me close the app I’m on right away 🤣 I’m so sorry you share my pain and I will never live down that spider shed scene. Nightmare fuel for life 🥲 Okay that’s actually really cool that you had to rough it with your group like that. I feel like those are the kinds of experiences that bond you with someone forever and even if it’s not the cushiest experience, you can’t help but look back on it fondly. Also that’s cool that you learned survival techniques- I’m hitting you up when the inevitable apocalypse hits! Or for a music festival- for something more light-hearted 🤣 Oh it’s waffles for me ALL THE WAY my dude 😫 Chicken & waffles is just one of my favorite dishes of all time but I love me some pancakes too. She’d be such a great lil addition to our group’s dynamic :,) That said, I love Maddie too…. Just very different energy! 💀 You’re so lucky to be so surrounded by nature 😍 Dallas is just one giant slab of concrete lol. I miss living in California for this reason. Lots of hiking and beach days. I think we have similar thoughts when it comes to camping because I agree that I might rough it to see the northern lights but otherwise give me that casual, star-gazing experience lol! Wait WHAT YOU CAN DRINK WHILE DRIVING IN GERMANY!? Wtf this just proves what a hot mess Americans are that we could NEVER allow that 😱 we’d be dead in a day! Yeah the drinking culture is way different in Germany first of all you can start to drink legally at 16 for beer, wine and some other lower alcohol content stuff. There's no weird open container laws you can pretty much drink anywhere just out in the open and nobody bats an eye...I mean there are some places where you generally don't drink out of common courtesy like playgrounds with kids around for example but even there as long as you don't get hammered nobody cares if you drink A beer or two ^^ And with driving, I mean there's the legal limit you're allowed to drive at and from a law standpoint it doesn't matter if you drink and then drive or just drink a chill beer while driving, however not even Germans are really all that aware of it a lot of people I knew got nervous for me...one time I even drove INTO a traffic stop on purpose to prove my point while I had nervous friends in the car like "Watch this shit" 🤣 But I've got into plenty of traffic stops in my life and it was never an issue sure I had to take a breathalyzer but I was most likely going to have to do that anyways and since I never drive over the legal limit there was never a reason for me to be nervous about it. 😁 I am personally sooo averse to spoilers and even things no sane person would even consider spoilers that I make dead sure I won't post any, sometimes I even look up / research if what I am about to say has definitely been in the episodes we watched...even just a general comment about excitement about the show picking up is something I wouldn't have mentioned if you hadn't said right at the start that you had already heard that season 1 is slow / not plot-heavy. So no worries I got you 😁 This is probably around the 9th times or something I'm watching this all the way through and I'm still really excited about the show that alone should tell you something hehe. Oh btw have you heard that Time Warner is tossing Final Space in the trash as a tax write-off? oO I know that has been announced a while back but I only learned about it today...what a sad state of affairs 😭 So after the current license with Netflix expires at the end of this year the show will be taken down permanently and unavailable for purchase or (legal) streaming everywhere. However what I've also learned today is that Olan Rodgers the creator of the show has been granted the rights to release 1 graphic novel to finish out the story and he said it's probably going to be around 400-500 pages or more. Most of them are already sold but I hope I will be able to snag a copy somehow, they are like 125$ or something and unfortunately that's not something I can swing right now otherwise I would have already bought a copy. He only announced it like 2 days ago so he's still in planning / preproduction it's set to release sometime next year. So in case you want to watch it (I think you should) either on or off the channel I would recommend you download the full series sometime before the end of the year because sure they will be up on illegal streaming sites and stuff for a while but since there are no longer any legal copies available in case links go down there's no easy way for people to reupload them, especially season 3 which was never available on DVD or Blu Ray at all. Just thought I'd let you know.
