Hello my fellow patreon dweebs! Happy Friyay! I've been working really hard to get back to the 1 week early releases for you, and I'm finally caught up enough to do it! YAY :) So from now on full-length reactions will be released every Friday. 

Alsoooo my apologies for the funky audio at the end of this one >.< I’ve finally got the audio down for my next reaction though, so thank you for bearing with me! I added some background music and video clips to hopefully distract you from the fried vocals lol. Speaking of… Would you all prefer a more edited review going forward? With shows like Rick and Morty and The Owl House that have episodes premiering in real time, it’s harder for me to get you a polished edit because it’s more important to me that you have access to the footage as soon as possible. But with Arcane, I could make that happen! So let me know if you liked this edited review… or if it really doesn’t matter to you 🤣

Favorite character up to episode 4: Powder Favorite after after episode 4: Jinx :D Though one of the things I love about Arcane (and this is true for pretty much any elite level show) is that there really aren't any "throw away" or one dimensional characters. Every character has an arc, and even the "worst" of them have qualities, experiences, or dilemmas that I can empathize with. As for your predictions, I remember when you made some of them, and at the time I said to myself "wow, that's pretty damn impressive" because you were spot on and predicted major plot points with only a tiny amount of information. Regarding the editing of the videos, I personally enjoy the less edited ones (even Snot Girl cameos). It feels very authentic (not that your edited videos are inauthentic or anything...I think you get the gist of it) and makes it fun to watch along. I'm also impressed that you managed to do two episodes in one day. I probably wouldn't have been in any state to spend a bunch of time watching and editing after watching episode 3.

Now we have the Powder/Jinx dichotomy where you don't know whether to call her Powder or Jinx now. The fighting scene on the airship where Jinx thinks she sees Vi does tend to cause some confusion (intentionally I think) for first time viewers, they have a few frames of young Vis face before switching to the similar face of the firelight girl. With Jayce and Viktor, I don't think Jayce is trying to take the limelight. But Viktor doesn't seem too comfortable among topsides high society probably since he came from the undercity which he told Jayce in episode 2. But Jayce is still all too happy to get all the recognition. I feel in the council scene though he was more protecting Viktor trying to take sole responsibility for allowing the hextech gemstone and their notes to be taken as opposed to ignoring him on that occasion. Few bits of random trivia: Professor Hymen- I mean Heimerdinger's pet is called a Poro and can never have enough screen time. I think they sold plushies of them but maybe not anymore. The 3 men on the back of the airship near the beginning shouting happy "progress day" are actually the founders of the shows animation studio Fortiche. One had a small cameo in episode 1 also being kicked out of a brothel of all places during the scene entering the undercity for the first time.

Random tidbit: the song Jinx was jamming to near the end when Silco yelled at her for blowing up that building is called "Get Jinxed". It was originally put out years ago as a music video promo for League of Legends. They did a bunch of those for different characters and that was hers. (As if the lyrics could leave any doubt about who's it was: "Wanna join me? Come and play. But I might shoot you in your face"). I've never actually played LoL (not much of a gamer) but I stumbled across that music video on youtube. So they have Jinx rocking out to her own song in the show. Very meta. 🤣

I kinda understand the situation between Jayce and Viktor, I mean I do think its not ok that it seems like his not getting credit, but as a principle engineer behind a couple of (failed) startups some people are just not meant and do not like the limelight. And Viktor does seem like the kind of guy that is way to focus on his work and would hate to participate in all "small talk" nonsense that comes with being "famous". My favorite character at this point would be Jinx and Victor. Jinx just seem like such a badass love it. a bit psycho though Viktor just cause i can relate. PS Thanks for the early upload, this was a great addition to my friday

My favortie characters after episode 1: Vi, Powder, Ekko, Vander, Grayson My favorite characters after episode 4: Caitlyn, Vi, Viktor, Jinx As for Jinx i have to say, i don't like her actions (her body count is at 11 after only one episode as jinx and not a single one of the killed attacked her), but as a heavily traumatized character she's very fascinating and (as everything in this show) looks really cool.

AAAAAyyy where all my Jinx fans at!!!! I love hearing about your way of viewing/empathizing with the characters because it’s really similar to my experience watching the show. Like obviously I DON’T CONDONE open-firing on human beings on a ship irl, but experiencing a scene like that through the eyes of Jinx ignites a different perspective because we know why she is the way she is. AND it’s through a fictional, inconsequential lens, of course. Haha thank you for the cred on the predictions :D There’s genuinely so much that goes over my head as a viewer (AKA VIOLET NOT BEING THE FIRELIGHT GIRL ON THE SHIP FML 😅) so it’s nice when I occasionally get it right lol! I totally get what you’re saying about the edits, and thank you for the input! Honestly if my filming set-up wasn’t such a hassle to get together I probably would have just been done for the day. But I always do my hair/make-up and stuff too, so with all the prep I just decided to pull myself together and keep on keepin on. Although if ep 4 would have been a doozy too I might have had to stop halfway through 🤣 I was really banking on ep 4 being less intense

Oh my gosh I’m glad I’m not the only one! Haha I feel terrible calling her Jinx because of the way she took on that name from such a negative connotation, but it’s what she wants to be called so….???!!!! And oh man, thank you for the grace on that “Vi” ship scene because I’m genuinely embarrassed about it lol. I think I’ve already filmed/reviewed 2 more episodes after this still under the impression that that was her, so my apologies if the confusion is still there during my future reviews &gt;.&lt; I really enjoyed reading your perspective on the Jayce/Viktor dynamic. I think my defenses went way up and maybe didn’t need to. I didn’t take fully into consideration Viktor being from the undercity and probably not being comfortable in these high-society/political environments. Poro is life. Life is Poro. I need a spinoff plz 🥺 And that is so cool about the Happy Progress Day cameo!!! :D How funny that one of them was coming out of the brothel as well hahaha

David I think you’re totally right. I was just saying to Rich in a comment above this that I didn’t take Viktor being from the undercity as a kid into enough consideration. He probably feels really uncomfortable in high-society and political environments and is maybe okay with Jayce taking on that roll instead of him. An excellent perspective I wasn’t seeing :D I’m so into the psycho-badass mix of Jinx’s character. She’s so fun to watch (although a bit heartbreaking too, of course, knowing she used to be our sweet Powder 🥺). I can’t say I relate to any of the characters personally yet, but will keep you posted if there’s one that I feel captures that for me. Thank you for sharing!! Awww, I’m so happy to have added some brightness to your day :) I was so excited to be able to do that for you guys.

Ooooh we got a vote for Caitlin as a favorite character! I’m really excited to see what this show does with her arc from here. And I fully agree with you that Jinx’s actions in this episode IRL would be unforgivable. But watching her go off within the fictional context of the show… is pretty darn cool 🤣

Yeah it's a misunderstanding made by many, I imagine there are a number of scenes in episodes 5 and 6 that might make a bit more sense or you think completely differently on now. No need to feel embarrassed though, if need be you can leverage the power of editing to smooth over anything for the youtube edits and get ahead of any more comments pointing it out

There were enough elements in that to pique my interest a little bit, so I'm going to keep going. I think Jayce isn't keeping Viktor back, Jayce did ask him to join him on the stage but Viktor declined. Making an assumption about Viktor's personality, I have a similar one and Jayce needs to give him a kick in the rump at some point, not let him keep hiding in the shadows ... although, if things go massively wrong as the series progresses, maybe it'll be for the best nobody knows. Piece of trivia ... my boy Race was originally named Jace by his breeder, so I kinda have a weird reaction when I hear Jayce (his "fancy" name is "Seraph Blade Wielding Shadowhunter" if that tells you who the breeder named him after).

And your comments on Jayce and Viktor seem to be in alignment with most everyone else's. I think I just read the episode wrong. There was something about the big blimps of Jayce's face and the coffee mug being slammed in front of Viktor that made me think we were going in a certain direction... but just goes to show you how differently we can all interpret the same scenes!

I like mystery in storytelling ... in it's broadest sense. Not just "who dunnit" but "what caused that disaster 200 years ago" or "who's behind this plot point" or "what are all the differences in this alternate universe." In this case, Captain Moustache said the new Hex Tech should be kept under wraps until they can make sure it won't be misused ... and it's out there now, in the hands of somebody that's probably going to misuse it. What's gonna happen?

I was thinking back to all the shows we've watched before on the channel and so many of them have that mystery aspect! SVTFOE... TOH... Invincible. Now we've got a real suspenseful arc lined up here too

I don't blame you, my experience of posting videos ended 10 years ago after people I knew found them and I very quickly privated them and gave up on that. It takes some guts to put yourself out there doing anything. Also a good portion of the people watching will like me have spent arguably too much time watching Arcane reactions, and if they are anything like me are so far from the first time viewer experience it will have become completely foreign to them. So if you do get any negative comments about missing anything it's likely just people really passionate wanting you to have the best experience possible and just not remembering what it was like trying to take in everything happening for the first time. Doubt any of them had a camera pointed at them either.

I really liked caitlyn from the beginning, even in those short glimpses at her in the first act. She has a kind heart, is determined, has a sharp mind and a straight moral compass. She also has that naivete and hunger for seeing the world of someone who grew up sheltered and has never seen anything really bad. (As Milo said: "Just get born lucky.") She even said so herself: "She [her mother] would do anything, to keep me from the real world." Though imo this naivete isn't necissarily a bad thing, i hope she can keep a little bit of that. The way this show is going, i doubt it though, i guess she'll learn a few bitter lessons. She already had the first reality check by seeing her fellow enforcers die in front of her. I don't know if she's a champion, as i've never played lol, i just hope she survives and doesn't get as traumatized as our beloved sisters. As for Jinx, i totally agree with you, it is very cool and entertaining to see her in action, but i think what she did is unforgivable even in this fictional context. You saw the reaction of the leader of the firelights when she killed the pink haired girl she thought was Vi - by a shot in the back of a fleeing person. You saw silcos reaction to her killing the enforcers (even though he probably worries more about what impact this has on his plans.) You saw the reaction of the council members after the attack, the utter shock. I know it is still fiction and your allowed to find it entertaining, but it has a logic that says, the people in this world don't forgive such doings. It is testament to the brilliant writing of the show, that despite her actions, you still like her, feel for her, because you know where she came from, how she broke and transitioned from the innocent little child to the ruthless killing genius she is now. I am so exited and at the same time afraid how the first meeting of the sisters will be. Poor Vi, i guess she was in prison the whole time, tormented by guilt and not knowing what happend to her sister. Sorry if that got a bit long, but this show hit me deep in my heart. It is one of the best shows I've seen on TV and i like to experience it with your reaction to it. I also hope the things i wanted to point out are understood, as english is only my second language.

Thoughts and observations after rewatching the episode - without any priority or order: - Powders bombs finally work ... to perfection - Jinx' fingernails are painted blue and purple and splintered - Jinx has written "bla, bla, bla" all over mylos mannequin - Jinx has the beautiful mechanical butterflies from progress day in her lab and seemed to work on them - Jinx' tattoos are blue clouds - Jinx still paints on absolutely everything - Jinx'/Powders reintroduction was the coolest entry of a villain I've ever seen - Sevikas facial scars shine in the same blue as the crystals, when we see her again at the ship - the way Jinx looked at Sevika while beeing scolded scared the crap out of me - I loved Silcos confusion wether or not to be mad at Jinx after she gave him the hextech gemstone - there is some kind of mechanical shimmer device under the coat on Sevikas left shoulder, I guess some kind of prosthesis since she lost her left arm in the explosion - the leader of the firelights has the coolest pocket watch i'ver ever seen - Vi's tattoos seem to be cogs and machine parts - Vi has her name as roman numbers V an I tattooed on her face - V=5, I=1, both together VI=6, her prison number is 516 - Vi knocked the same guy out twice - the uniforms of the enforcers at the fair differ from those they put on when tey're going in the undercity (here it is more fancy and elegant, for representation, the others are armored combat suits) - Silcos left eye has no lids, he only blinks with the right one - there are nine chairs at the councillors table, but only 7, then 8 councillors - Caitlyns mom wears earrings that match the color of her eyes - Caitlyn removed the bandaid from her forehead, when she goes to stillwater And that's why I love this show so much, there are a million little things to discover, some more important than others, but every little detail tells you something more about this world or the characters who live in it. &lt;3 :D

My favourite character when the show began was Vander. After this episode... honestly, I'm gonna say Powder/Jinx. I just really enjoy her portrayal. Between the voice acting, the lines, the animation when she talks... she's somehow both funny as well as terrifying, lol.

That’s a really solid analysis of Caitlyn’s character. I think I overlooked the naivety a bit because she is so sharp. But when you put her life experiences next to those of our characters that come from the undercity… it just doesn’t even begin to compare. Oh gosh, no I totally agree that Jinx's actions are unforgivable in the show as well. Sorry if I explained my perspective poorly &gt;.&lt; And ugh thinking about Vi in prison that whole time breaks my heart 😭 She was already so calloused and traumatized, I can’t imagine what all those years in jail have done to her psyche :( Oh please don’t apologize! These are all excellent observations!!! You picked up on a lot of things that I didn't! :D I did notice Vi's face tat but couldn't figure out what VI was meant to represent. I thought maybe it was a creative way of writing her name? "Vi"? But thinking about the prison guards marking it as her number MAKES ME WANT TO CRY 😭 I just want to give everyone in this show a hug lol

And it's helpful to look at some of the comments from this perspective, as well. Most people are probably just trying to help. I think everyone has their insecurity kryptonite and mine definitely has to do with my "smarts". I was always daydreaming in class during school and dropped out of college my sophomore year. So even though I've gained more confidence in my intrinsic level of intelligence over the years, when I miss something in a show or have to admit to not understanding something it brings all that to the surface.... Okay wow that got deep sorry &gt;.&lt; But you're right... I gotta give myself the grace of being a first-time viewer and analyzing content immediately after watching it. It's not like I've taken months to marinate and write a thesis or anything 🤣 It's just not that deep... Alright well just let me know where to send the check out to for this therapy session LOL

I’m back for the Arcane reactions! As you can see I’m still catching up, but I just had to ask after this reaction, who did you think was going to be in a love triangle with Jayce and Mel? When Mel pulled him aside at the party to talk about investors, you said you were sensing a love triangle forming, and I’m trying to figure out who’s the third person you meant. Viktor? Mel’s assistant, Elora? Hopefully not Caitlyn?
