Hello my fellow Patreon dweebs 😊 I posted this poll on YouTube but thought I'd post it here too (just in case you miss it). Your input as patrons is super important to me!

The question is: Do I need to be a fan of League of Legends to watch the show Arcane? 

I feel like I've discussed this with a few of you before and you've said no, so apologies for asking again. But I want to do my due diligence as a reactor and double check juuust in case. I watched the trailer for Arcane this morning and was BLOWN AWAY. As long as I don't need to be a pre-existing fan, I think it's a strong contender for our next poll.

I would say, it is even better if you know nothing about the game and its lore.

What you really need, is a big screen. The artwork for the show is just *so beautiful*, watching on a tiny laptop screen would be slapping the creators in the face.

I've seen a lot of reactors watch it that I know have no prior knowledge of the IP and loved it. I still haven't watched it but, I've heard so many good things. I'm very curious. Do it. DO IT!!! I mean...you know, whatever you want to do.

I’ve heard sooooo many good things about this show and I’m in exactly the same boat, I felt a little weird watching it knowing it’s based on something I probably needed to play for context! But I’d love to check it out, especially on the channel that would be so great!!🌟

Don't need to have played at all. Arcane's storyline is a prequel/origin of characters in LoL. Also, League has a ton of backstory for the characters, their relationships, and world/settings, but literally none of that story is needed to play the game, or even really shown in the game itself. It's all just extra lore that's there if you want it. So knowing some of that story can add to Arcane, but the show definitely stands on its own.

I never played LoL and honestly I think it makes it better

Nah, you don't need to have played LoL. I haven't (for more than a couple minutes, anyway), and I followed it just fine.

I knew nothing about LoL before watching Arcane and it is one of the best shows I have ever seen.
