The hiatus kinda makes more sense placed here after the portal gun got fixed because that's been an underlying theme if the season. plus they've done a hiatus many of the recent seasons to help the show last a bit longer through the year. I mean even before Rick and Morty I had adjusted to low episode count seasons because I had watched a good amount of British shows which tend to do short seasons. Hell one British drama I watched, Luther had a season with only 2 episodes and a comedy show I watched, The IT Crowd's final season was just a single episode. Also good on you for recognizing Lisa Kudrow's voice I recognized the voice but couldn't place it. The wort thing is, I had just read about her being cast in a role for the upcoming series Time Bandits, based off of the Terry Gilliam movie of the same name from the 80's, it's kind of a cult classic but was overshadowed by his next movie Brazil. One piece of advice if you ever watch Brazil is only watch the director's cut, the TV version cuts out the final scene and totally changes the tone of the movie.

I loved the 3 planets where the dino bones were assembled wrong and entire evolutionary theories were developed. When I was a kid my dad used to take me to the Museum of Natural History - they were famous for having the only had an entire T Rex skeleton but it was assembled wrong.. on purpose. They had it standing upright in a pose the real thing never could achieve to make it look bigger. And it wasnt even a T Rex skull, they couldnt get a correct one so they attached an unrelated brontosaurus skull and pretended everything was fine... for 45 years! They knew it, but kept it a secret so they could boast they had the largest T Rex skeleton in the world. Thousands of us kids grew up thinking we knew what a T-Rex looked like. A part of me died when I saw Jurassic Park. Rick is right about the human race.

The BBC is a non-commercial network supported by tax on TV sets (I had a cousin who was arrested for hiding an unlicensed TV set in the attic). Since they operate in the public interest they rotate shows on a very different schedule to try to appeal to as many different rate payers at different times as they can. Thats why they get a season with only a few episodes and maybe a year or two between seasons. Even commercial TV adopts these kinds of schedules. Red Dwarf ran for 12 seasons across 30+ years of 30 to 40 minute episodes. Love the Brits!

I'm always a sucker for, I don't know what you'd call it....where you turn something into a verb for the purpose of a joke, like "Westworld-ing" or "David Foster Wallace-ing" someone/yourself, as referenced in this episode. Always gets a laugh out of me. David Foster Wallace was a highly acclaimed author who sadly killed himself back in the late 2000's, so a super dark joke but it made me feel smart for getting the reference, lol.

The rock was my favorite part of this episode as well. "asdjklfaj;ldfk" :P Btw when you said "Get that water outta ma face" was that a "Nacho Libre" reference. "GET THAT corn outta ma face" lols If not I get the feelin your gonna love it. my favorite comedy movie of all time. I want some more evil morty. I like that character story

Paleontology used to be very much a hit or miss thing, it was important for museums to have the biggest and most complete skeleton so they faked it until they could make it. T Rex fossils were incredibly rare and often displayed with the wrong bones. Fossil hunters ripped the bones out of the ground with little care or study. Another in a long line of useless Mark TEN facts.

LOL! That's exactly what it said 🤣 Oh man that part got me so good And omg YES SOMEONE GOT THE REFERENCE hahaha! I absolutely love Nacho Libre and usually watch it once a year with my Mom. Our sense of humor intersects with that movie and we just have a blast watching it together. I think my favorite line in the whole thing is when Jack Black says, “Beneath the man…is his… *nucleus*…” 🤣 What’s your favorite part???

Same here!! I couldn't tell if I was being a total child about it but I figured if the writers kept it in, they must have been confident at least a FEW people would laugh 🤣 (I am people)

🤣🤣🤣“Beneath the man…is his… *nucleus*…” My is when Nacho sings "Encarnación" 🤣 I love that song. Movie recommendation, if you haven't seen "Casa de mi padre" I get the feeling you will like it. It with Will Ferrell and its same type of humor, I think it didn't do as well because its all in Spanish and its sooo much funnier if you do speak Spanish or even a little Spanish. trust ull like it. my favorite comedy song of all time is in that movie
