My most favorite arc was Eda's. It's Lore heavy. It just shows that not only Eda was suffering, so was the Owl beast and that they need to accept each other because they're stuck together. As much as they want to get out of it, they're gonna need one another. Love that there is also a lore in Kings arc. It was more informational tho. The 3 B's. and it is so funny to imagine (I've seen someone tweet this) that it's Alex Hirsch (Hooty) talking to Alex Hirsch (King) featuring Dana Terrace (Tiny Nose, one with nintendo switch). lol And the Lumity. Of course. The love, sweetness, and joy on that scene. The words, "I don't know what my future holds, but it would be so cool if you are in it", it melts me. They are so precious. And fun fact, the lights color palette on both Amity and Luz's background after King's roar (when he broke that stone) was the Lesbian Flag (Amity) and the Bi Flag (Luz). The people who worked on that scene confirmed it when some fans pointed it out and they were so happy someone noticed it. This episode was just so gooooooood!!

Ok before I talk about the rest of the episode let's talk about Hooty eating the letter from King's dad. Goddamn you Hooty...you know what this strongly reminded me of?! The Rick and Morty "Vat of Acid" episode when Jerry mistakenly uses the "Save Places" remote instead of the TV remote and completely fucked up Morty's whole relationship. I'm not gonna lie I still regularly get mad at that...that thing cut me to my core when it happened. Lowkey don't think I'll ever get over that and forgive Jerry. 🤣 And that's kinda what it felt like when I saw Hooty eat the letter...I mean I assume it's not gonna be as big of a deal and they just connect later in a different way but in the moment I saw it I actually shouted at my TV "NOOO HOOTY WHAT...YOU...YOU...YOU GODDAMN JERRY" 🤣 And then I got sad about the Rick and Morty thing again lol. Goddamn! You actually had me there for a second when you said the only thing you didn't like was what happened with Amity and Luz 😂 I actually sat here for a second with an O mouth and anger and bewilderment on my face lol. My brain was screaming at me "NOO WHAT, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALL SEASON...WHO STOLE YOUR JOY WHO WAS IT?!?!" haha. I thought maybe you had some legitimate criticism about it, I knew you love them together but I thought maybe the how bothered you or whatever hehe But yeah you got me good for just a second lol I doff my cap milady. 😛 They are soooo cute together I can't even express how much I love it. I like how Amity was lowkey into the tunnel of love haha but then Luz started waging war on the whole thing and it turned into a nightmare for her because she felt rejected. Honestly though I'm not sure how I would handle it if someone thrust my crush and I into a whole tunnel of love situation without prior warning. Maybe I'd go berserk myself lol but more likely I'd just take the hue of a tomato and try to laugh it off and actually see how the other person feels about it because embarrassment can work in your favor if you handle it with dignity I speak from experience actually 😄 And like you said such a split episode is usually filler/one-off stuff and it was actually impressive how many reveals and developments they were able to fit into a 3 pronged episode without it feeling hacky at all! I wonder how Harpy Eda will change the dynamic going forward and how King will use his sonic wave in the future. Only two more episodes left until I'm completely in the dark and I get more excited by the minute...soo many questions we might finally get answers to.

Yeah so I tried to comment this last week but it was difficult without giving anything away. Basically when this episode aired, with the summary being so vague and based on the title none of use were expecting this episode to be a big deal. I think a lot of us were alright getting a “lighter” episode after everything that has happened so far, but also we were way more excited for next week’s episode because of its summary. And then bam! King’s new power! Harpy Eda! LUMITY! In that first scene, as soon as Luz said, “make my way into Amity’s heart,” I slammed the pause button and went to get snacks because I knew we’d finally be getting those two interacting after the kiss. And then we got confirmation that Raeda is canon! Or at least was! But in the saddest way possible! And then Luz went into the basement and the first thing I noticed was the human-sized owl pellet on the floor! I don’t even know how many times I rewatched Luz’s section of the episode. I’ve been painting that gorgeous scene right after King saves them from the falling chunk of tower. I don’t know if it’s the best over all, but I think this is my favorite episode of the series.

Alright, now to info-dump about my favorite part of the entire series, starting with the scene I still can’t watch all the way through without hiding behind my hands! The Hooty boat in the tunnel of love is the same design as Lilith’s Hooty ice sculpture in 2x02! Luz has been made fun of for asking someone out before. Amity’s facial expression after Luz jumps out of the boat to destroy the tunnel of love is the same facial expression she had when she was rejected by Grom!Luz in 1x16. I think Hooty’s dramatic reaction at the end of this scene was probably the only way to salvage the situation (not that I think that was his intention, he’s just dramatic af). I remember thinking that the first time I saw it. Amity and Luz were both so devastated, and Luz had no idea what actually went wrong, that without an even bigger problem to distract them from their own feelings I think Amity probably would’ve just left. In that beautifully animated moment after King saves Luz and Amity, the colors in the background are from the lesbian and bi pride flags! I remember reading a tweet from the animator who worked on it. King to Luz: “Pretend he helped you before he destroys everything!” Yeah, that’s not possible. King and Eda could have pretended, but not Luz. If they had to, King could’ve lied and said he felt better after Hooty’s pep talk, and Eda could’ve lied about feeling rested after Hooty drugged her cookies. But there was no way for Luz to lie to Hooty, not with Amity standing right there, and not if Amity left before she and Luz could talk. So in the wide shot right before they hold hands, Amity’s rubbing the back of one of her hands with the thumb on her other hand. Then when they’re holding hands, Luz rubs her thumb over Amity’s hand! It’s such a small, really cute detail! Also the timeline for this episode really makes no sense at all, and I couldn’t care less!

I absolutely loved Eda's arc in this episode! And no matter how scary Eda's inner owl was, I still think it's so cute🥰 Harpy Eda for the win!

Wow ... just ... wow. Watched the final episode of season 2. It is going to be REALLY hard not giving away spoilers. All I can say is for the rest of the season, pay close attention, don't look away from the screen because you will miss stuff, and put a seatbelt on your chair because you're in for a hell of an exciting ride.

Dreams can be so funny! I don’t really find myself dreaming all that often, but when I do it’s always like a big concern of mine actualised or situations that would just be awful for me lol. It made me think back to your Iron Giant reaction actually, I remember you checked that you were recording during the reaction once or twice but I bet that was still one of the more stressful videos for you to make😂 Okay as for this absolute banger of an episode where do I even start?! I loved hearing from Lilly even if it was just in letter form, and I just love her and hootsifers relationship so much it hurts😩 and what truer words have been spoken, he is a mess absolutely but Hootie is the glue holding all these crazy people together, and in a roundabout way he did help all of them get what they wanted and needed this episode! Favourite arc has gotta go to Eda hands down like what a queen, honestly it seems like almost every episode now I just find myself in a pool of tears watching Eda come to terms with her past and grow as a character😅 This one just took the cake for me, that whole dream sequence was absolutely STUNNING😭 especially the part in black and white on the beach, like WOW! Just the sound of the waves and that transition from Eda to the scribe washing up on the shore, to the man and then back to Eda, just amazing really blew me the heck away! That whole part really reminded me of this scene in Monsters University if you’ve seen it, there’s this beautiful scene with Mike and Sully by a lake and the lighting and everything is so dim and grey but it’s such an unexpected and incredible moment of reflection that really caught me off guard and stuck with me, only heightened by this (almost unusual for that type of movie) dim and grey colour palate. Similarly to this it just adds so much, gorgeous! Then the sky just illuminating with colours once she embraced the curse and that part of herself🥺 WITHOUT QUESTION my favourite sequence of the show so far, maybe even episode of the show because we haven’t even talked about the cutest new couple on the boiling isles yetttt✨✨✨✨✨✨ ….and I WAS GONNA SAY MATE, you absolutely threw me there for a sec in your review I thought you were actually upset with how they handled Lumity🤣 I’m so glad that was a joke because I’M SO HAPPY AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH TOO😭✨ oh man I’m absolutely the same when I have a crush or anything I get suuuuper nervous aha. I also thought it was cool and interesting that we witnessed the end of a relationship with Eda and Raine and then the beginnings of a new one with Luz and Amity here too, I wonder if there’s any significance to that beyond like the duality? Honestly I could bang on about this episode for at least another 3 paragraphs before getting stuck but I want you to have a chance at reading lol, like I didn’t even mention Eda’s dad that was so unexpected, and KINGS DAD too, not as unexpected but I really hope Hootie gets that letter to him or I’ll be a little mad😂 What an absolute masterpiece dude I’m just in awe. Alls left to say is I hope your week is going really great mate and cheers to this show for being so fantastic🌟

I really loved learning more about the lore of the curse as well. I never thought about it being something that was stuck inside of her. I imagined it more as of a cancer of sorts. Having it be an actual beast really makes the curse much more interesting and it looks like she's learning how to make it less of a curse and more of a unique ability that she can use to her advantage!

Thank you so much Jubiie, how sweet of you :) I actually have been having a really great week. Yesterday was Flight Attendant Appreciation Day (I don't think it's a national holiday or anything but my company celebrates it lol) and when I got on the plane there was a note and a box of chocolate covered pretzels waiting for the crew from management. And today is the first day of pride month whooo! Gonna be spreading the love all month long because I think the world needs some lovin now more than ever. Oh my word YES, Hooty eating the letter was giving me major Vat of Acid vibes lol. I think I was less mad at Hooty than Jerry (maybe because we never got to see what was in the letter? VS watching Morty’s entire life unfold with this girl…or maybe because Hooty is arguably more likable than Jerry and easier to forgive? Lmao) And hahahahahaha I was hoping I’d be able to troll a few people with that one 🤣 Thank you for sharing your reaction with me because imaging that was so funny! I thought it was really cute and unexpected that Amity was into the tunnel of love as well! I was sooo shocked! I think it just shows how much Amity likes Luz. I feel like if someone else did that for her she’d be repulsed lol That’s so exciting that I’m almost caught up to where you are! It will be really fun to experience them alongside you as we go! I’m starting to get major FOMO now that the season 2 finale as aired and everyone said it’s so amazing!

Oh my gosh I was CONVINCED that my phone was just going to shut off at some point during that reaction because it was such a long one lol! And I’m just so scarred from the time it stopped recording during a Solar Opposites episode for NO REASON. I’m always afraid that’s going to happen again. I don’t have a mirror to look at now because I record on my kitchen counter so there’s always a little, annoying, anxious voice in the back of my head while I’m filming that says, “oooooooh I’m not recooooording anymooooore” hahaha And I’m so glad the Eda arc seemed to resonate so much with everyone else too. I agree with you that that animation was just STUNNING. I haven’t seen Monsters U but now I’m thinking I’ll have to even if just for that scene! It sounds so out of place in that universe lol which I’m sure just makes it all the more effective. Oh and I MISS LILLY AND HOOTY TOO WITH ALL MY HEART LOL I’m glad the show gave us this little morsel of conversation to enjoy, even if they weren’t together in person. And mwahahahaha I’m so glad I was able to prank y’all with that 🤣 I just couldn’t help myself! I never thought about the juxtoposition of Eda/Raine’s relationship ending and Lumity’s beginning. If nothing else I think it’s just a beautiful contrast and a reminder that all things end and all things begin, in turn. Also side note, I’ve been binge-watching the show Sex Education and it’s British so they call each other “mate” all the time and always think of you because I don’t have any other friends that call me “mate” but it makes me feel very cool LOL

Ooh yeah I remember now, it was somewhere in your first season run right? That must’ve been the wooorst feeling, awe that sucks:c The only question I have though is does your little voice sound like you (doing your very best ghost impression) or Mr Meeseeks? Either way I play it in my head it’s amazing to be fair!😂 Awe I’m such a sucker for pretty much any Pixar movieee✨ As a wee bab I absolutely looooved Monsters Inc, and certainly still do today, so yeah I was kinda nervouxcited to see a prequel of the two leads in college lol. But I gotta say though in my humble opinion it’s pretty darn good! It’s a lot of fun and yet hits me in all the right places emotionally, that paired with some really fantastic animation, music and performances. Underrated for sure! I’d love to hear your thoughts though if you ever did find yourself watching it! Omg that reminds me I actually watched the first episode of Sex Education a few months back and was well ready to continue because I loved it! I think maybe I just got distracted by some of the other great tv releasing as of late, but yea I’m definitely going to continue that now so thank you! And think you for thanking of me mate!😂 Speaking of other great shows releasing as of late I’ve heard you mention Stranger Things a couple o’ times in the past, have you kept up with the show and if so have you enjoyed any of season 4 yet? I absolutely adore ST just so much to love about it, probably the music especially but yeah every element comes together and brings its A game to make that show and it’s so apparent in the final product I think🌟

I like trying different art stuff for fun, and I took some art classes in high school and college for some credits. I think painting and whittling are the two I’m best at. I actually didn’t notice Amity’s thumb rubbing moment until a Reddit comment pointed it out. It’s such a small detail, but it was obviously included intentionally and it makes the moment even sweeter! Yeah, I’ve always been a big shipper, so my brain just absorbs details of those storylines like a sponge. And Lumity is one of the most well-written ships (regardless of the gender composition of the ship) I’ve ever seen in a western cartoon, and maybe even on tv in general.
