IDK - still early in the season for this much blushing - that signals to me that bad times are ahead for our favorite ship. I did love seeing more of the library and Amity's boss was a hoot! (Not Hooty... but still a hoot!)

But yeah there's quite a few ominous forces that are at hand behind the scenes right now so I would be surprised if there's not trouble in paradise coming in the next few episodes. And oh my gosh Amity's boss definitely was a hoot 🤣

OK. First off, I randomly do the Whistle Stop song from Robin Hood in a big ol' southern drawl while I'm doing stuff all the time. I'm glad to see I'm not alone. Lol This episode had some pretty intense imagery and I am down for it. I love when the scary monsters actually look, you know...scary. I feel like, if he wanted to, Gus could cause some serious psychological damage to someone with his illusions; almost like Mirage from The New Mutants. And the first thing I thought when that guardian illusion popped up was, "Hey! Is he supposed to be a Pokemon?" -Lol. It looked like that one, Lugia, or something like that. I really only watched Pokemon with my nephews back in the day; not really versed on all of them. I hope that Gus' new friend starts showing up more. He could use someone who looks up to him to help his confidence. I like how Amity doesn't quite understand what's happening to her, but her sister does. It's sweet that her sister is just giving her light nudges and letting her figure things out on her own. That's a nice touch. When the show first started I thought her siblings were going to be the traditional mean older siblings. I'm glad they actually seem to care. No Eda, Lilith, or Hooty, but still a pretty fun episode. I like it when we get a B-story from the supporting cast. Maybe, one day, we can get a Gus and King adventure. I thought they were bonding in earlier episodes, but then they never really went back that. Have a great weekend!

Was watching some tiktocks that had "The Hamster Dance" for background music, and was stuck in my head before...but maybe I'll make your rendition a lofi remix. lol Luz said in Spanish translated into English. "No te preocupes, Todo va a salir bien." = "Do not worry. Everything will be fine." "Nada funcionara a menos que lo haga fucionar." = "Nothing will work unless you make it work." Even though I'm not fluent in Spanish, even though I'm full blooded, my grandparent's and parent's raised me with Three Stooges, and I Love Lucy. But I can make out what they or anyone who speaks Spanish half of the time. Same with reading it. (best way I can explain it is like listening to the adults in Charlie Brown through a glass on the wall. Also loved that they went with a dark and spooky library. Don't know why (I mean i do, but it's complicated to go any further) but that's one of the things I want to have in real life.

Awww sooo cute! 💕 I've had a shitty couple of days and this was exactly what I needed to get back to smiling like an idiot the whole episode. 😁 It was interesting to me how you interpreted the moment when Luz said to Amity maybe she should show her around the human world sometime. To me that read the exact opposite she seemed super determined to get that diary after that and grabbed Luz and stormed off. Also LOVE Amity's new hair, I want to have my hair like that. I've had purple hair a lot in the past but not this awesome pastel tone she got going on, and even as it was it was pretty exhausting to maintain not gonna lie but I still loved it. And that little cheek smooch had me squealing..ah so cute I think this is my favorite shipdom ever hehe. Ohhh and the playback of the journal...ok so this is kinda based on absolutely nothing but do you think Philip Wittebane could be Emperor Belos? The journal is really old but Belos was like consuming Palismans for that green goop that seemed to restore him or something maybe that kept him alive all that time? I can't remember if we've been given a timeline of when the coven system was created and also Belos has the earshape of a Boiling Isle inhabitant but I don't know somehow something in me thinks it might be him. Wittebane was focused on getting the portal up and running again and that's basically what Belos is also after right. Maybe Wittebane became Belos in the hundreds of years since he was stranded there and through researching the Boiling Isles amassed enough knowledge to implant himself into their society as Emperor as everyone who knew him as Wittebane has long been dead. I don't know I'm probably totally wrong but yeah those are my thoughts on that. 😆 Ah and the B plot...it made me really mad how disrespectfully those guys treated the graveyard. It was nice to see Gus get a little more confidence and even uhm what's his name... Matholomule? However the hell you spell that 😁 Even he turned a bit of a new leaf, a little sad it took him to be treated like dirt by those other Glendus students to see the error of his ways but progress is progress right?

Aww thanks Zulu :D They're LED bulbs so I can change them to any color! The pink is definitely my favorite but I was thinking it could be fun to switch the color depending on what show I'm watching. Maybe green for Rick and Morty and blue for Solar Opposites. Heehee I just wanna have fun with it! Hope you're having a great week friend :)

And I totally agree with you and Amish about Amity's siblings. They've come around to surprise me too, just like Amity. I love their relationship though because it's so honest and I think much more true to real life than a 1 dimensional "mean" sibling or "nice" sibling trope. It reminds me a bit of Dipper and Mabel's dynamic a bit too. They would spat every now and then but when push came to shove they had each other's back. Having a sister IRL, this was always my experience too. I was by no means the model older sibling, but at the end of the day I was always there for her.

I was really determined to learn Spanish during the pandemic when I was living in Miami, but I fell off it once things started reopening and it's true what they say if you don't use it! I think I'm the only one that read Amity's reaction in that moment as a bad thing lol! Idk why I thought maybe she was worried about her parents or she had some secret reason she couldn't go to the human realm. AND OMG I LOVE AMITY'S HAIR TOO! I'm a sucker for the green but this shade of purple is sooo pretty! I have a friend who dyes her hair purple and it's definitely a lot of maintenance but she loves it plus it looks v cool 😎

I would be SHOOK TO MY CORE if Belos ends up being Philip. I really don't think it's that much of a stretch either. Centuries of him being stuck somewhere unfamiliar, learning about the power of the Titan (maybe thinking it could be a way to get himself back home), and trying to become magic by using Palismen which ultimately turned him into something dark and demented. It's totally possible. If that ends up happening I'm giving major cred to you lol!

That tune is like jazz scat for the biscuits and gravy crowd. Older siblings, or even just older relatives within your general age range, ride a fine line between slightly bothered by you and vigilantly protective of you, simultaneously. They're rarely mean just to be mean. It's usually playful teasing or reacting out of a childish insecurity. But let someone ELSE try that with our kin and we were on them like pigs to slop. I can be mean to my family, but no one else is allowed to be. I've EARNED that right through time served -lol. Of course, there are always just down right mean people out there. I'm just glad this show prefers to show more multi-dimensional characters and relationships and allows their intricacies to play out over time instead resolving them as they are revealed, like a lot of shows would.

...and I'm begrudgingly at day 445 of my Duolingo Spanish course -lol. They got me with the "days in a row" thing. I've never missed a day because I don't want to break that streak. And the longer I go the more determined I get to not see that number go away. That's ALL it takes to keep me motivated. And as I type this it dawns on me that their mascot, Duo, is an owl. How on-brand is THAT for an Owl House discussion? Craziness.

Hehe it would be wild! He also has this like measured speech pattern as Belos does I mean it's not the same but if it is him it would be natural to have changed a little over such a long time. Oh also I went back and Belos' ears are pointy but they have like nicks in them almost like maybe he deliberately cut them to be this shape to fool people or something. 😬 OMG I can't wait to find out more, if I end up being right I'll freak out 😁 Oh you know what else is wild? Heyyy, sorry I didn’t have too great a week last week and didn’t wanna be bringing any bad vibes to this lovely place, I’m feeling so much better now though and I just got caught up with 4 and 5! Man these were some great episodesss:D✨ just some notes from 4 before I get into this week’s episode, I’m absolutely heartbroken to see Lilith leave with her mother, almost as much as Hootie lol! Completely selfishly though because she’s getting a chance to finally connect with her mum which is amazinggg🥺 Also I have to talk about the most insane part of 4, that fake Luz was such a crazy twist!!!! I loved the frame on her with her face all shaded out that was SO CREEPY!!💀 I wonder who or what that is? Could it be a powerful illusion? A shapeshifter? Whatever it is I don’t like it! OMG your intro to episode 5’s reaction made my whole week though that was amazing🤣 Why do I feel like this is your weekly routine and you physically couldn’t record a reaction without doing exactly that, that’s my headcanon now anyway😂 also whatever that song is I can’t stop singing it now so the people in my life thank you greatly lol. I think we’ve been long overdue a Gus episode, I don’t think I mention him too much in my comments but I really love his character, for someone so young he has so much integrity and always seems to stand up for what’s right, especially when it comes to his friends! I loved your comparison to him and Sokka (not just because I get that reference now😎) because you’re absolutely right, both are arguably weaker in comparison to the other leads, and taken at face value illusions or boomerangs don’t seem all that powerful, but the best thing about avatar and this episode is they show just how not true that is, Sokka is inarguably a freaking hero by the end of that story, and Gus here chose to fight for what he knew was right and I love that for him!🌟 the absolute highlight of this episode though has to be luuuuuuumityyy🎉🥳 honestly these two just KILL me with how sweet they are, like they can’t even hold a 2 second convo anymore without getting all nervous ITS SO ADORABLE🥺 seriously if any sort of plot developments get in the way of this cute as heck blossoming relationship I am gonna be crusheddd with a capital C to put it lightly😂 Is there anything you’re particularly hoping for by the end of this season? I hope we get to see King’s Dad, or mom as you so rightly pointed out, that would be very cute! But then he might leave just like Lilly so actually maybe not😂 I would also like to see more of the Golden Guard for sure he could make for some really interesting episodes going forward, maybe learning more about him and his past and just how he got into that rank under Belos could be very cool, I could even see him joining the side of the angels given time and the right amount of encouragement! Yeah I’d love to hear your wish list for this season mate. Finally I just wanna say thank you dude, every time I take a little time away from here I realise just how much joy and positivity these reactions bring me, stuff like that is absolutely priceless and I think it’s so important for you to know how cool that is and just how grateful I am I guess✨

But I’m glad you’re back in business- I am too :) OMG I knew if anyone would be as sad as me about Lilith leaving Hooty it would be you. Legit DEVASTATED. Lol I don’t always sing that song in particular but I usually do some kind of silly/subconscious babbling before I start actually recording 😂 Yesss new(wish) Avatar fan! I’m glad you got the reference and agreed. I think Gus will have his time to shine, no doubt. He was great in this episode. But yeah it was hard to focus on anything other than how freaking ADORABLE Luz and Amity were in this episode 🥺 One of my biggest wishes for this season after episode 4 is to LEARN WHO IS PRETENDING TO BE LUZ. That has me mad intrigued. I want to learn more about Belos too…like was he always so creepy looking/eerie or did he sort of transform into this version of himself over time? And YES to everything you said too! I hope we get allll the things hahaha Aww well you know that feeling is so mutual. So happy to have ya 🥺💖
