Sorry for the terrible intro to this one, guys… It was not my finest hour 😅 Fortunately the noise stops at about 1:15 in the episode (right after the theme song) and the rest of the reaction is mostly lawn mower- free 🤣

I am SO excited to hear your thoughts on this one (I say that every week, don’t I?) But seriously! The start of a new season is always so exciting to me, and I just think there’s so much growth in store for our hoot-tastic household this season :)

pretty sure the selkiegris is a play on ambergris which is a type of whale vomit that is used to make many high end perfumes.

ROFL when you wrote that there are noises in the beginning I was like "Yeah like all those planes and stuff people mention in other videos but I never actually hear or that are so quiet you can only hear it while editing with headphones" it's gonna be fine. But MAN those leafblowers or whatever are actually SO insanely loud it's hilarious 😆 I am actually laughing out loud because it seems like a skit hrhr. Anyways watching the episode now. Yay season 2 :) While this wasn't a particularly exciting episode for me it was definitely needed to establish the new dynamic with Eda and Lulu being basically powerless. Also all hail Hootcifer! On another topic yesterday I went shopping with a T-shirt on today I wake up and there's a foot of snow I barely got my window open because there was so much snow ontop of it xD I don't remember when I saw this much snow in my life, probably over 10 years and NEVER EVER in april...like literally in 39 years I've never seen snow in April where I live so yeah fun times. Guess I'll take a night walk today in the fresh snow, I love doing that because fresh snow especially while it's still snowing muffles sounds greatly and I find it very peaceful when the world shuts up for a minute 😁 Oh another random thought, maybe you can weigh in on this. So a lot of youtubers / podcasters bank episodes for obvious reasons which means depending on the person there are days where they film multiple episodes. This was my thought, although I was aware of this somehow today it struck me that it's kinda funny/weird that as part of their job people change outfits between episodes, and women usually even change their hair unless they're known for some specific hairstyle. What makes this even funnier to me is, it's one thing if you record at home but if you record at a studio or friend's you actually have to pack a suitcase or bags to bring all the stuff with you xD. I wonder how women decide to do their hair, like do they start with the most fragile hairstyle first and then go to less and less involved until it's like straight hair, or do they start with straight hair then go like ponytail, pigtails, high ponytail etc.? I don't know I think about shit like this probably because it's such a strange and specific world I have no part of...the same way I think about timetravel lol. Also do you think it's necessary to change outfits between episodes and/or hairstyles? Or is this just a thing people started doing and now everybody does it because everybody else also does it? Is it supposed to hide the fact that multiple episodes were shot on the same day or is it supposed to give the viewer more outfit variety to see the host in or both. I don't know I find the details of this very intriguing lol I could go on about this for 30 more minutes but I'll stop here. 😅

Well ... LuLu described the Golden Guard as a "genius teen prodigy" and a "brat." So his excess personality is probably due to being a kid just like Luz and company.

Oooh the quiet during/after a snowfall is one of the most magical things. Although I'm not sure how big of a fan I'd be of it in April lol! Regardless, I hope you enjoyed your walk and hearing the crunch of fresh snow under your boots!

And I'm LOVING reading your insights on filming multiple episodes lol! You got it pretty much spot on. For my filming days I usually try to film 4 episodes on average- sometimes more if I'm feeling particularly energetic, sometimes less if I'm sneaking in a reaction on the road or if it's a blah day. Like I only did 3 episodes this time around because I was on my period and feeling like 💀 (Sorry if that's TMI but I think that's another thing guys don't think about lol!) And you're going to love this- pay attention to my hair the next 2 episodes because I do exactly what you wrote in your comment 🤣 It's down in this episode, in pigtails for episode 2 and then a ponytail for episode 3 hahaha! I'm officially hiring you on as my hairstylist! I do it that way because hair ties often leave a crease in your hair from where they were tied on, so if I went from hair up to hair down, it wouldn't look as nice down. I change my look for both of the reasons you mentioned :) I like the illusion that it's a new week because, to everybody else, it is! And I think it's fun to switch it up. I wear a uniform for work so my every-day clothes don't always get a ton of use so I like dressing up for the channel. Honestly this was so fun to think about and answer so thank you for asking! XD

The noise wasn’t so bad and didn’t last very long so it certainly didn’t ruin my experience of this week’s reaction! Oh man I know those kind of days all to well:c I really hope things have been looking up for you since you recorded this mate!✨ thank you so much for rolling with the punches regardless because this weeks reaction was very much needed🥺 Being kinda stuck and helpless with my ankle has been really getting to me I guess, it’s definitely closer to the end of the path of recovery but I find so much comfort in the outside and taking long walks so only being able to go out briefly on crutches has definitely taken its toll on me mentally, but yeah I just wanted to say having these reactions to look forward to and these awesome little chats we get to have has made the world of difference and just thank you for making me smile when nothing else does dude✨ This was such a fun season opener!! I too loved the parallel between Luz and the good witch azura, that “now eat this suckaaa” got me even more this time around🤣 I love that Lilith is staying at the Owl House now too, it’s gonna make for such an interesting dynamic if this is a permanent arrangement! I mean look at her already bonding with Hootie, which I have to say was the absolute highlight of this episode for me!🤩 Just two complete opposite sides of the spectrum but they made such an undeniably great team, that little moment at the end made it for me when she said she’d protect him and even gave him a nicknameee🥺 like I didn’t know I needed this beautiful friendship but now that I have it, it’s my life force!!😭😂 If this episode showed me anything though it’s how much I love Eda and Luz’s relationship! It feels like genuine respect for Luz when she speaks to her instead of Eda just being like super protective and kinda babying her. I totally agree with you that Eda has this real maternal feeling towards her, that’s clear to see, but she doesn’t make that apparent when she addresses Luz. She focuses on her strengths and treats her like a good friend instead of a child which is really awesome imo and tbf I think she’s earned herself that kind of respect at this point! As for the Golden Guard he’s a very interesting character! Nowhere near as menacing a presence as Belos but I don’t think that makes him less of a villain. There’s something more unnerving to me about a guy who doesn’t seem particularly evil but just follows orders and is indifferent to his actions, he just seems like he’d have this weird giddy optimism in any job role. But I love his gestures and the way he carry’s himself and that “BYEEEE” at the end just sent me that was PERFECT🤣🤣 Definitely a character to keep an eye on! Lastly I totally missed your reply to one of my messages last week so I just wanted to say I’m so sorry about your family pup💜 A dog’s love is like almost nothing else because it’s completely unconditional and I know from experience losing a member of the family like that is so hard, what was their name if you don’t mind me asking?

Omg that’s right your ankle!!! You poor thing. My mom broke her ankle a couple years back and it took a while before she was feeling totally back to normal. It would swell at random times and I know she got really frustrated with the healing process. So I feel for you 😭 I’m so glad my videos can be a source of entertainment for you while you’re getting better!! I agree that Lily and Hootie’s friendship was the highlight of this episode! Such an unexpected relationship and I love it! And I never really thought about the way Eda addresses Luz before but you’re absolutely right- their relationship is so unique. She’s more of like… the cool aunt than a mother 🤣 They share such a unique bond and I think it’s part of what makes this show so cool! And no worries about the message! But that’s kind of you to say. Her name was Pepper and we loved her but honestly she was kind of a pain in the ass sometimes 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yesss, frustrating is the perfect way to describe it!😂 The sympathy is always appreciated though mate like I do be feeling kinda sorry for myself sometimes🤣 But yeah this show just has endless opportunities for spin offs, first we need the young Eda and Lilith show and now the adventures of lulu and hootcifer🔥 I think that just speaks to the incredible characters this show has crafted already that I feel like they all need their own show to truly tell their whole story! Oh yeah Eda totally is more like the cool aunt! Well said!! And you’re absolutely right it makes it that much more entertaining to see a fresh take on what could of been a very generic relationship, they bring out so much in each other✨ Awe you don’t mean that I bet she was lovelyyy, what kind was she? I had the sweetest chocolate lab back in the day appropriately named Coco (because my creativity in my teenage years was off the scale as I’m sure you can tell😂) yeah the thing that hit me the hardest when mine passed was how quiet the house was after, yk no pitter patter of paws around the house every hour of the night or anything, idk you don’t realise how much life and energy they bring to the place I guess.

(I’m just gonna try and post this here because it keeps deleting itself from your Ep.2 reaction😂) “STAY AWAY FROM MY LUZ” are you freaking kidding me!?!?🥺✨😭🎉 those two are the absolute sweetesttt omg it’s too much!! it’s interesting up until this episode it felt like (to me anyway) the feeling wasn’t necessarily mutual between the two. Luz seemed kind of oblivious to Amity crushing over her, and let’s face it she hasn’t exactly been subtle about it😅 That’s not even a critique either it feels so much more natural for one of them to catch feelings first, instead of like them both sharing one intimate glance and instantly they’re in love! Despite any of that Luz has had quite a lot of her plate since the latter half of season 1 so I can understand her being a little busy to notice, but I definitely saw her blushing and getting all nervous at least once here, so I think it’s really actually happening now and my heart is very happy that’s for sure!!!😁🌟🥳 I loved learning more about glyphs in this episode too, how they command the magic around them rather than containing it, and I’d have to go back to really take in what they were saying but it sounded to me like using the glyph combos (copyright Lilith) could make the magic just as strong as regular spells if not stronger….? WHICH IS SO COOL!!!! Luz could be reviving an ancient form of magic here that hasn’t been practiced for centuries due to its untameable power when mastered! Or even originating a new more effective way to do magic, either way it’s very exciting learning more about the lore of this world and especially how the magic actually works, that intrigues me the most! Besides those two things I loved Eda and Lilith’s student antics, very cute and i find it so funny that Luz, the girl who’s barely even been doing magic that long, is now teaching two extremely powerful witches everything she knows, it’s really fun seeing Eda be even more immature than usual and Lilith just craving approval from her teacher😂 lastly I feel like I NEED that image of King on the couch with his little blanket round him and his hot drink as like a tattoo or something!! I just could not stop smiling after seeing it omg what a perfect image🥺✨😅 also whilst we’re on the topic do you have any tattoos? Me personally I’ve found that I’m very indecisive when it comes to permanently inking something onto my body, so as of yet I don’t have any😂 but I have a lot of ideas and tbh King in his lil blankie is seeming like more and more of a possibility to me the more I think about it lol!🔥

I love that you're as obsessed with Amity and Luz as much as meeeeeee! Lol! Their romance is so stinking cute and wholesome and I love that Luz is catching on/catching up to Amity's feelings. And Lilith and Eda as Luz's students is too good 😂 I feel like in a way we're getting to experience what their relationship was like as kids/teenagers and it's cool to see that insight in such a unique way later in their lives. AND IF YOU GET A KING TATTOO I MUST SEE IT! I don't have any tattoos for the same reason as you, actually. I think they're so cool on other people but I know myself and my aesthetic well enough that I think I would regret one. That being said, I've always said I'm open to them if one day I decided otherwise! I hope you're having a great week and that your ankle isn't giving you too much trouble! 💖

It’s just been such an entertaining relationship to explore between these two characters so far, like seeing Amity go from this hardened, misunderstood “cool kid” to this blubbering mess around Luz this season has been such a treat😂 All the respect to the creators because I can imagine it’s pretty hard to naturally portray a character changing like that. Having said that I do feel like in Amity’s case the meaner side to her was more of a front, brought on by insecurities, they did a great job anyway is what I’m tryna say!😅 You’ll be the first person I show if I do get it, I promise! Not just because no one else in my life will understand what it is, but that too🤣 do you have any tattoo ideas you think would look cool? I would love one to do with space, maybe get my favourite Jupiter on thereeee, or a Last of Us one! I have quite a few different ideas for one like that. I think something from Gravity Falls would be really cool too, like that show fundamentally changed my perspective on animated show “for younger audiences” and still to this day lives rent free in my mind with its endless amazing moments to reflect on✨ yeah too many ideas and not a shred of courage or decisiveness to get one done!😂 Awe thank you dude yeah I’m doing great and the ankle isn’t suuuper painful these days so that’s always nice lol🌟 hope you’re week’s going great too!!
