We actually had Public Service films in school like the one Hogarth's class is watching and every week or so there would be a surprised take cover drill where we hid under our desks... our wooden desks to protect us from Atomic Bombs. I was sent home from school and suspended in the 3rd grade for 1 day for laughing during one of these drills because I didnt take the threat of nuclear war seriously by hiding under my desk. My dad had to see the principal and to get back into school he made me promise not to laugh... then he broke up hysterically at how ludicrous it was.

I'm currently watching it and I am liking the whole animation-style this movie has😄. The robot is cute and I like the fact that it's eating metal.

Okay, so I finished the movie now and I gotta say that I absolutely loved it! I can't believe I missed out on this during my childhood, but I'm happy I got to watch it now. I'm giving this movie a 5/5 😁 It made me tear up a bit by the end there. As I mentioned in my previous comment, I liked the movie's style of animation and that's because this animation style is basically nostalgia for me since I used to watch movies with this said style a lot when I was a kid.
