I feel like this show could go in so many different directions but I'm loving how cute it is so far! I see a lot of potential and I'm excited to keep watching :)

I also imagined a lot of possibilities the show could go. There’s a lot of *things ahead and building (developing) up to *the moment. But Overall I liked the way they were going with the show. Can’t Wait for more… 👏👏👏.

You know, I think you'd enjoy the anime Welcome to Demon School, Iruma Kun. It's got some similarities to The Owl House in that it's about a human who ends up in a magic type world, though in this case it's a demon world. Though how the main character ends up there is very different and the show is mostly focused on his school life enrolled in he demon school Babylis. Also having seen through the second season of Owl House by this point in the series I can say that guessing where the series is headed as a whole is pretty much impossible. The earlier episodes do kinda seem to vary a bit though as you pointed out. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

The show is definitely still trying to find itself at this point...by episode 8 it finds its groove and starts to get REALLY good. It's fun already but it gets way better :)

I agree about Amity. This episode didn't beat around the bush showing how absolutely irredeemably evil she is. One hopes she gets everything she deserves for being so mean to Willow and especially Luz.

Braces for three years eh? That explains why your teeth are so perfect! I had braces too, along with retainers and headgear. Worst tmes of my life. I got roasted on the regular back in those days... Good riddance to that!

As someone who has and is still in the process of making worlds and stories to fit into those worlds, there is a lot of ground to cover. Either you blast the viewer with info to get it out of the way, or scatter it out throughout inch by inch. It all depends on the medium and story. I do kind of agree with Al when it comes to the weird contradiction when it comes to Luz and Eda’s view on the norms of their own worlds. I think it’s when someone expects something different from what they’re used to they kind of get surprised when there’s still rules. Luz is just happy that there is a way to learn magic, but to Eda it’s just another way for some sort of comformatory. So, I guess, and hope that there are going to be some conflicting philosophies when it comes to Luz learning magic. I feel like it’s like that for any job or training. People think being a flight attendant is just passing out drinks and showing passengers where the exits are. But you have to read people’s body language and know what to do in an emergency situation (of what a mutual friend of mine who also works for American has said lol) Kind of the way Saint Olga’s was to Star and the entire idea of the way people thought of the way princesses should act. (Still Stan Princess Turdina It’s not criminal to be an individual!!!) When it comes to magic, check out Brandon Sanderson magic system lecture. It’s very informative. I could go on more, but we’d be here for a long time, but I”m getting excited to see where the story goes from here!
