One of these days I'll make a decent impromptu video... Today was not that day!

I' d recommend continuing the animation train with stuff like Avatar, Trollhunters, or Voltron

Mark Ten

Amphibia has a very Gravity falls vibe

I would recommend Hazbin Hotel/Helluva boss. great adult comedies that are also musicals. i think they would be right up your alley.

I would recommend Genndy Tartakovsky's animated show "Primal". Very brutal, but it is a real work of art too. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4UN616BFDA Or "Adventure time", so much more than a kids show. Here's Justin Roilands characther Lemongrab yelling, "Unacceptable" for about half a minute... Yep, he is in the show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brLNcJeSAhw

VEEP on HBO. Brilliant political comedy that's also kind of terrifying because real politicians who've seen it have said, "Yeah, that's pretty much what it's like."

Resident Alien. Excellent sci-fi comedy on Syfy.

I do have several suggestions. First, and my personal favourite is No Evil by Betsy Lee. Independent animation published on YouTube. Inspired by both Native American myths and European settlers folk tales, it is a hidden gem. It is still ongoing but not very long, so it would not be major commitment.

Agree. And since they are not very long it would not be a major, multiple months commitment.

My second choice is RWBY by Rooster Teeth. I catch up with the series recenty. It is amazing, very entertaining if uneven show. With big and active fandom. Just watch out for spoilers, fandom gets over excited sometimes. If you want to test the waters you can react to 4 trailers: Red, White, Black and Yellow and see viewers response. Note that show is 8 seasons in and we are about 2/3 story so far, so it would be major commitment and it is bit more demanding on viewers to keep up with story details. But I highly recommend it. 4 cool chicks kicking ass with close combat weapons, that are also guns? What not to love?

The Owl House and Amphibia, latest Disney sister shows are also great choice. Very entertaining and not too long. I would have hard time to chose which one I like more, but it appears that The Owl house is bit more popular. Both start rather slow for most of 1st season, but when their plot fully develop, it hits like freight train.

Other surprise hits in last few years are She Ra and the Princesses of Power as well as Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. I enjoyed them greatly.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on episode 8. Oh I know you've asked in the past about anime to check out and I mentioned Shaman King was coming to Netflix, well it got there earlier this month. If you do decide to check it out, definitely go with the sub, the dub is just cringy.
