I really am curious to know your thoughts on this season now that it's finished. What did you like/dislike about it?

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed Owen Dennis will find a way to make more seasons.... IF THERE IS A GOD PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN LOL

⭐🦋 I may be cuddly and lovable, but I CAN be bought. Tell ya what ... if you post a small review/reaction on Discord to each of the chapters you haven't read yet, when you get caught up I'll reconsider. But you have your work cut out for you ... IIRC, you're ten chapters behind at this point.

“Not great… but cute.” I feel like that’s a good description of this season. I pretty much agree with everything you said at the end. This season, while still good, just didn’t have the same feel of suspense or mystery as all the other ones did, and yeah, it lacked a real looming threat. I did like Ryan & Min (Min, in particular, I found pretty funny in a very understated way), and seeing their friendship develop throughout the season, even if it got a bit repetitive at times. And, of course, Kez was a great character! She was so funny, and her voice actress had the perfect deliveries. XD I feel like the 3 main characters were likeable & fun enough to keep this season interesting and entertaining, even if not quite to the same level as the other seasons. Like you said though, even at it’s worst, this show is always pretty damn good. I really hope they can get more seasons made. Favourite Quotes: “Ryan? It’s been long enough! I’m coming in! …Don’t be naked…” – Min “You had a bad thought. I have those all the time.” – Min “You stuck with me, so now you’re stuck with me.” – Min “After everything you have put us through, you think an apology will work?!” – Cow thing “…Maybe…” – Kez “So, uh… This, like, ended kinda weird…” – Kez “Love ya, Kez!” – Ryan “I love you corpses too!” – Kez

I never thought about the constant threat part of it, but you're right. As I've said and now you said, the biggest problem for me was that this final season had no narrative connection to the other 3, and even though Miin and Ryan's dilemma was something that I did relate to, I would have been much more fascinated and satisfied wrapping up the narrative story with Amelia and Hazel. Also, I mentioned last episode that because of Min and Ryan getting forced away because of the writing, that this season would have a basic, solve everything instantly ending. In seasons 1-3, there were immense climaxes: Tulip helped Amelia realize her mistakes and got off the car herself, but was forced to say goodbye to Atticus and One-One; Lake and Jesse were able to get away from the Flecks and Lake finally got her number and put it to 0 to escape; Grace was forced to kill Simon, and decided to stay on the train to atone for her sins and help the other kids work on themselves to get off the train. I just feel like even though this wasn't meant to be the final season, it had a lot of rushed writing that was definitely lower quality than the previous three. If I rewatch this series, I'll just skip this one.

⭐🦋 I think the word is "anticlimactic." Frankly, I'm not sure what to think of this season. I just know it didn't grab me as much as the others ... and they didn't grab me all that much.

it's a sweet finale to give it a happy ending, and also showing Amelia taking over the train. I'd love another season, but something told me the creator wanted to end on a happy note. Maybe Amelia and Hazel's story was was going to end badly and he didn't want the series to end that way, I'm just guessing, I could be entirely wrong, but sometimes writers don't completely plan the narrative ahead of time and the story just flows into them, The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is a great example. He'd go for years between books because he just didn't feel the inspiration.

Honestly mate I think you hit the nail on the head with your review, it just didn’t really work as a finale but if this show were to continue I wouldn’t have any real big problems with this slightly lighter, less intense season! Especially after the absolute gut punch that was Book 3! Although not much was revealed in terms of what we didn’t already know about the train, I found it so cool to see Amelia’s takeover from the perspective of these two passengers that have no idea what’s really going on! That second announcement from Amelia saying “we’re on our own now” gave me freaking goosebumps that was such an insane moment!! Paired with seeing OneOne before he was split into two personalities, so cold and calculated, truly unforgettable moments for me that just made this season even cooler! I actually find Ryan and Min’s relationship kinda beautiful in retrospect, I thought it was so lovely to go from their little performance in the backyard in the first episode to that last scene performing live on stage! A very surprising high note to end on and I just couldn’t help but tear up and smile tbh!😭🌟 While I’m giving it some love I have to say that the first episode of this season was truly a masterpiece and maybe one of my favourite episodes of this entire show actually! Just such a beautifully executed introduction to these two characters with such a genius split montage of their separate lives, with the added twist that we were actually viewing their shared tape! I haven’t stopped thinking about it since seeing it and for good reason, so well done!✨✨ Also lastly I hope I’m not alone in this but I’ve found myself singing like all of Ryan’s songs in my day to day life, like “My Dad’s van”, “A smile is just an upside down frown”, and who can forget the absolute classic... “IM GONNA DRESS MY CAT IN A TOQUE!!”😂🌟 Yeah the more I think about this one the more I find to love about it and I honestly can’t stop thinking about it atm!😂 Not my favourite, but I most certainly love it, flaws and all✨ I just wanna echo you real quick and say thank you to everyone who suggested this show because this really is one of my all time favourites now, and it’s even more special because it’s the first show I started from the beginning as a full length reaction patron! Okay before I fr start crying I’m gonna say thank you again and I hope you’re keeping well mate! Long live the infinity train💜 forever in our hearts.
