Aah my fellow Patreon dweebs, I did a silly thing and accidentally released ep 9 on YouTube yesterday instead of episode 8. Soooooo.... Here's that for ya 🙈

Hehe I saw I'm sorry. Gotta admit I watched it because I couldnt wait but I'm glad to be back to the full reaction the youtube edit isn't good enough if you're used to full length reaction goodness. xD Curious actually how much more time does it take you to do the youtube edit I mean it must take much longer right? To cut it up enough to not get flagged but then still kinda convey the story of the episode and also pick the funny moments and or the best reactions to put in there. Feels like a nightmare to me to be honest xD But I have zero experience so obviously this is just me guessing what would go into it.

OK, wow. This episode was really interesting! So, Morgan is the castle, not the guy in the photo, lol. That guy was Jeremy. And speaking of Jeremy… man… That story about his mother & sister was really sad. At least Kez was able to help him (I guess she was able to help SOMEONE, lol). Also, I found it kind of funny how much Min was getting into reading his diary. XD I was glad to see Ryan & Min call Kez out in this episode. As much as I enjoy her character, everything they said was true, and I think she needed to hear it. And what the heck was going on at the end there?! I will say, while I do really like this season, I do agree with you that it’s not quite as good as the others. I haven’t really felt like I’ve had as much to say about these episodes, lol. Favourite Quotes: “You don’t think about how things will affect other people, and then when people get mad, you act like ‘Oh no! What happened? So weird!’ And then you just float away, like ‘Welp, it’s their problem now! Lalala, I’m a bell!’” – Ryan “You know she talks, but you’re gonna get hung up on her circadian rhythm”? – Min “I don’t think he meant to leave, just look… but, like… try telling that to a mystical vortex.” – Kez “I think you’re basically good, Kez. You’re just… really, really bad at it…” – Min

I agree this season was super grounded and basically the train was kinda besides the point with slight alterations you could have told the story without the infinity train. Initially I liked this season but it's a really slow burn and the moral of the story seems to be don't avoid problems because they will keep piling up like for Kez and communicate your insecurities with people you care about because so many people act and react on what they think is going on with someone else but in reality they have no idea. I mean there's one more episode left maybe it's gonna hit it out of the park but that doesn't elevate the 9 other episodes really. I mean it's not bad but it's not a story that had to be told in the context of infinity train. Also is it just me or did that scene with the steward coming in feel like a "fuck it the train is over the series is over" kind of moment from the writers? xD It had a little bit of a Justin Roiland flair to it with the ad lib nature. This season was a 5/10 for me Kez made it a 6. I kinda want a Kez plushy now that says random shit when you squeeze it 😅

It's not just you, it's definitely the weakest season. Turns out the creator wanted to make more seasons but was abruptly cut short after this one, and he suggested it was because HBO Max like CN, thought it was too dark for its style, and would have to become a full adult program to continue further, which they didn't want to do. Remember that the mystery of the train was solved in the first season, which I still believe is the best one. The second and third seasons were all about character development but they were done better because we had already met them, and so the continuous narrative was in full effect. With this season, it's a completely separate storyline, and I also felt that the writing was kind of basic as far as trying to keep Ryan and Min apart for the sake of a magical resolution in the final episode, kind of like how Steven Universe did with White Diamond, which we all know was a disappointing final conflict, whereas shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show had done an outstanding job wrapping up their story arcs. As I've been saying all along, it would have made more sense to have Season 4 focus on Amelia to keep the narrative going, especially considering how we were fascinated by how much she had learned when she appeared in season 3.

I think this episode was the best of the season so far for me, I loved hearing about Jeremy and his experience on the train, like what a messed up situation to go through. I know it would’ve been a super dark tone for the main plot but I feel like Jeremy’s story could’ve made for a good season itself! I would’ve loved to see the relationship between him and Morgan explored and see him come to terms with the accident over those 5 years, I would’ve found that just as interesting I think! I do agree that these two guys are a lot less relatable than previous protagonists, and yeah this season has felt a little lacklustre, especially when compared with the previous season, but I mean how do you top perfection?!?😂 I wouldn’t say it’s a bad season by any stretch, and if it wasn’t the last I don’t think I’d even be criticising so hard, it’s just kinda frustrating when you know there’s so much unexplored potential with this show!! I’ve found Ryan and Min’s relationship the most interesting and how unpredictable they have shown to be with each other, it’s made for some very entertaining exchanges. Also I really liked some of the cars this season like the Astronaut Que car and the one from the first episode with the thermostat! Even this castle car is really beautiful with the maze and everything, maybe not the pig baby car but there’s always one I’m not too keen on😂 I ALMOST FORGOT Amelia saying “we’re on our own now” gave me freaking chillssss!!! Does that mean she’s removed OneOne and is the new conductor now?? So cool and like I say just a shame we’ve only got one episode to go:c

⭐🦋 No, sorry, never had expectations let down in a show's later seasons. Never. Ever. If I did, I'd write my own fanfiction to make up for it. I uh ... erm ... hmmmmm.
