I have a feeling JYP pretty much had already made up his mind who he was going to have in the group by the final stage. Maybe a very good or bad performance could've pushed someone over/under but for the most part I think he already had a good idea about what the girls had to offer and how they'd fit with the kind of group he wanted. I think Riria, Akari, Yuna and Ayaka were put on Mako's team in hopes she could get the best out of them. Beyond the Rainbow is probably neck and neck with Clap Clap as my favorite song from NiziU and I think they did a decent job performing it, but I prefer Maya's team's performance a bit more. Akari did do well but I liked Mako's singing the best for that group as I felt her voice really came in much clearer and more powerful. Akari had a nice tone tho. I'd like Boom Boom Boom a lot more if they didn't put the effect on the voices. It's even more present I think in the recorded version. They performed it very well tho and I like the choreo.

Nice point about why Riria, Yuna, Akari and Ayaka were put in Mako's team! And yeah, I really had the feeling that, at least for some of the members, this finale was mostly just a confirmation of what JYP had already set in his mind before.
