Oh no....

[EDIT] I attached a screenshot of the excerpt I was referencing. It is from Blue Adept (2nd book of the Apprentice Adept series from Piers Anthony.) Context is Stile (MC) had just finished a musical duet match with Clef (world-renowned musician). The audience and the Computer judge chose Clef but a panel of experts overruled the decision and gave the win to Stile. I just really love that moment.

Hero is one of those tear-jerking performances and I always tear up even in rewatches. It was really interesting to hear your analysis on Yui and Tsuzumi comparing it with the world famous musician and the mc from a book. I quite agree with that as well since I think Tsuzumi was the best there followed by Shizuku but I personally had no problem with Yui winning since I thought her opening and first chorus were beautiful and the audience would have loved those main parts. Run Run was actually my favorite dance performance from all survival shows I watched last year. I saw a video showing the original choreo and the new one the girls made themselves in comparison and I was really impressed because they literally changed+created from scratch for the WHOLE entire choreo except the running part. Joa and Yuuki were my top 2 like the votes but I felt very sorry for Koto here. Her solo part came in very late into the performance and I think that might have affected her votes. Btw Im not sure but I believe the dancer you were referring to is Monika, the leader of Prodwman. I love the fact that they included WaDaDa performance in episode 6 to give all the low rankers one week voting advantage so that at least some of them have a shot of jumping up. Shine A Light is by JO1, the group from PD JP season 1. (And INI who did Rocketeer is from S2).This stage was unfortunate. Hina did her best tho and Kagura was a surprise.

I just came back to the attached file and the excerpt was beautiful! Even as someone who don't read novels (almost) at all, it managed to grip me in such short amount of sentences. I can totally see why this is a monent you'd really love.

Oh thanks for pointing out that it was Monika that I was struggling to remember from Prowdmon! I knew she was familiar when I saw for just that bit in the clip they showed for Run Run. I really liked her when she was Loona and Eunji's trainer for the dance battle in Queendom 2. (Also quite the timing right now since I am checking out I-Land 2 and she is one of the performance directors there!) And quite the interesting point about Wadada being shown earlier. I didn't think of it that way.

Thanks! It's a scene that has stuck with me all these years since I first read it way back when. I always keep it in mind whenever someone is worried about having "just a support" role.
