What an amazing vote! It was a dead tie, with both Katara and Alex getting nine votes each, so for the first time I had to cast a tiebreak vote, and it was in favor of Katara! She managed to scrape through with some footsie tickles to render Alex a helpless laughing mess, but it's going to get even tougher for Katara next time, as she faces a grudge match with Haru Okumura in the quarter-finals, who upset her good friend Toph earlier in the tournament! What a fight that will be. :)
