The thing about The Perfect Ironhide is that it's impossible, because the iconic G1 Ironhide look is "the windshield of a van glued to a generic robot made of cubes".

After Cyclonus the lazy engineering just kills me. Ironhide and Ratchet are the most essential of essential Autobots. Then again, I’ll take it for all the reasons. I hate it so much that I love it.

There is a rumour that there is to be an Ironhide to be released as part of the SS86 movie series. Most likely a cartoon repaint of the Earthrise version of Ironhide. Now that I have finally tracked down a Siege Ironhide, this will probably be confirmed in the near future. I tell you, the aftermarket for some figures is just brutal.

I share your frustration trying to find the "perfect" Vanette, though mine was always Ratchet. This mold being the closest to that but so impossible to get just makes it worse. My Paradron Medic preorder being cancelled was probably the single biggest disappointment I've had as a collector.
